Curriculum is nice, let's u prepare for real world application or further academic pursuits. This curriculum helps you get crores worth of packages. There are classes on weekdays and offs on Saturday and Sunday , general class timings are 8:30 to 12:10 having in between a break of 20 minutes in total of 4 classes and there could be a lab in evening from 2:30 to 4 thrice in a week .

Basically, the course curriculum has 2 class tests and 1 end-of-semester test along with an assignment which will either be a writing thing or group project or sometimes a seminar. The assignment given as a seminar is one of the good choices I feel because it makes us research more about the course. 2 class tests will make us study the whole syllabus part by part which is useful for us for the end semester. And we do have an attendance thing which is mandatory for every course. We should have above 75 percent to appear for the exam. So, I feel the course curriculum followed is pretty good. But all professors can change the writing assignment to a group project or a seminar by each. That's the only correction I feel.

I thought the course would be upto date and we could learn new technologies and development in the recent growing field but the curriculum and syllabus are not updated. So the course is a bit boring and possibly could change the curriculum.

Initially before admission to the college, I had a great interest in the mechanical automobile sector, and my interest in mechanics led me to choose this branch. Faculty to student ratio is 1:14. PhD in the corresponding teaching field. The exam was according to the syllabus and was not very easy to pass.
I am a student of mechanical engineering in nit Trichy and I swear the teachers that you get here are so helpful. The classes are so friendly and in most of the classes, you feel like a discussion between students and teacher where you can learn a lot of stuff (much better than the normal style of teaching which makes it unique). You can clear your semester exams easily when you attend classes regularly. Teacher to student ratio is around 1:25
My couse is mechanical engineering To be honest I got this course as per my rank. Students here in Nit Trichy is just amazing and you get a good exposure, you get something to learn from everyone Faculty : students is 1:10 Many professor are PhD holders from IITs and many reputed colleges We have two semesters per year ,Have different courses in the semester (6) and quizzes and cycle test.
I chose Mechanical Engineering cause I like this course. Even when I was young I used to open up appliances in my home which had gone wrong and see the different parts. We have a class of 69 students and there are separate teachers for all the subjects in the course. The teachers are very qualified and have a lot of knowledge. As I am from the North I sometimes have a bit of difficulty in understanding one or two teachers but it is not a very big problem as after some time you get used to it. Our first-year duration was cut short to half to cover up the gap due to Covid. But it didn't seem that the faculty was rushing through the syllabus.
There are 2 exams in a year mid-term and final, held in November and May, apart from these there are 2 class tests in each semester. The exams are not tough we studied regularly then we can easily pass them.
I choose this course because i got this course in this college, my aim was planing to join CS in NIT Trichy but my scores are not enough. Since i want to join this college I am happy with the course I get. For one subject max 2 teachers take for whole department. Every faculty have completed Phd in IIT colleges or NIT colleges. Most of the teachers teaching is good, term exam they keep very ranndomly we cant even predict when will exam happen. End sem will be very tough and the term exam was considered as some what easy when compared to End sem. We can easily pass the exam but the problems comes when we try to get top its super tough.
The curriculum is designed very well according to the current trends. Moreover, the mechanical department is one of the top-performing departments and the structure makes sure that students get benefitted during the placements. I wanted to take up aerospace engineering in the future hence, mechanical engineering is a very good and solid foundation for this journey. There are a total of 3585 UG students and 219 faculty. Among the faculties, 195 of them have Ph.D. degrees in their respective fields. The exams are not tough and it's convenient if you attended all the classes and are able to go along with the professor. However it must be noted that college emphasizes more on self-learning and hence, the teachers can support us only upto a certain extent.
One of my friends studied in the PSG Mechanical branch. In his opinion, both the colleges are well known and quite famous for Mechanical Engineering. Let me state some facts about them which might help you decide.

Ultimately, it’s you who can decide the right college and stream for yourself. Just remember that these are just stepping stones to success and it’s you who has to work hard to become successful.
Some of my friends studied at MNNIT, so I might be able to answer your question. It is suggested that you choose Mechanical at MNNIT Allahabad rather than Civil at NIT Trichy.
Your branch of choice is more important than your college preference. In terms of opportunities, Mechanical Engineering has a slight advantage over Civil Engineering
Mechanical at MNNIT Allahabad has a consistent placement record. Mechanical students receive more job offers than Civil Engineering graduates. PSUs often choose Mechanical Engineering graduates.
Categories | Civil at NIT Trichy | Mechanical at MNNIT Allahabad |

Average CTC | 9 LPA | 8-10 LPA |

Finally, everything depends on your interest and choice. So think wisely and then make any decision, because this will be the building blocks of your career.
