NIT Trichy offers various scholarships such as:
- Abundant Cauvery Delta Education Fund Scholarship for B.Tech and B.Arch students.
- The Central Sector Scholarship scheme for Top Class students for reserved category (ST/SC) students.
- Post-Matric Scholarship for Odisha Government SC & ST students.
- Tamil Nadu Government awards the scholarship to the citizens of Tamil Nadu. Also, various State governments award scholarship to the minority students.
- There are various scholarship schemes for handicapped and disabled students.
- Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) awards scholarship.
- Engineers India Limited has designed a scholarship scheme for the SC/ST students.
- Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has also implemented the scholarship.

- Faculty is very friendly. They are hard working . We can visit them any time to clear our doubts .
- The placements of this college in the previous year were very good.
Dislikes
- Lot of restrictions on girls . They can stay till 9:45 PM outside the hostel .
- Hostels are not upto the mark . WIFI don't work properly .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The fees structure of MCA for my batch was 5,70,000 for the course including hostel fees. There are many scholarships provided by college like RECAL provided by alumini of NITT. Also students have medical insurance of about 1,00,000 per year.
Likes
- Seperate department for MCA. Many other NITs offering mca course doesn't have their own department
- Lots of opportunities within the department itself other than fests that are organised on institute level
Dislikes
- Too outside of the main city so we have to travel 15-20 km if we want to go to the main city
- Timing restrictions for girls. Girls are not allowed after 9:45 pm
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
I am not sure about the fees structure of other courses. However the fee structure for MCA is something I can discuss. In the even semester the fees was 35700 for tuition and academic part while the hostel fee is approx 46k. Every year the fees is hiked by some amount, although I am not sure. Many scholarship are offered by the institute, some are sponsored by the alumnis of the college.

- Nit Trichy is renowned for its strong academic programs and rigorous curriculum across various engineering disciplines. It consistently ranks among top engineering college in india
- Infrastructure: the campus boasts modern infrastructure with state of art laboratories, well equipped classroom, and extensive computing facilities , and ideal research environment
Dislikes
- Weather : the climate in tiruchirapalli can be hot and humid for significance part of the year , which may be uncomfortable for not South Indian
- Limited industry exposure: Despite strong placement records, some students might feel that there is a need for more exposure to industry and internships to better prepare them for corporate world
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The fee structure at nit Trichy, varies depending on the program and category of students ( such as general category, SC/ST category etc.) , generally the fee structure for UG program is around rs 65000 per semester who family income is more than 5lakhs , 22-23 k for who family income is between 5-8 lakhs , and no fee for who family income is Less than 1 lakhs. Likes
- The faculty is very much experienced in teaching. They teach every course with the great passion.
- The campus and overall sporting facilities are very good compared to other colleges.
Dislikes
- The language barrier in the state due to which you are not prefared for the higher positions in fest teams.
- The mess food is not good its just up to mark.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The tuition fee increases once in 2-3 years but we will get advance information. There are a lot of scholarships available based on the category they belong to and their financial situation. There is a scholarship given by the alumni of our institute, that is benefiting the economically weaker students.

- One thing I like about NIT Trichy is the students and faculty. Students come from all over the country to study here
- Second is the campus , it is very beautiful
Dislikes
- The campus is very far away from the city
- The hot weather and extreme conditions during summer
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
I did not have any financial assistance as there are certian conditions to get it and I did not fit in that soo yes fees is decent not to high but it is the highest in all nits so yess. but facilities are good
Likes
- The size of campus is too big. Campus includes various shops like lassi shop, coke station, tea stalls, 2k market and much more.
- The fests are amazing. many celebrities, entrepreneur and allumni came in fests.
Dislikes
- The hostels are a bit old and they don't renovate the hostels properly.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Tution fees are like- 62,500 per semester Hoatel and mess fess- 50,000 per semester Which is a bit on higher side. They provide scholarship for ews and bpl students. For person with family income less than 5 lpa will get 33% reduction in tution fees and with family income less tha 1 lps will get 66% reduction in tution fees.
Likes
- The campus is pretty huge and you need to get everywhere by cycling.
- You get to mingle with like-minded people from all over India.
Dislikes
- The mess food isn't great, but it's better than in most places.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
As far as I know, there is no such fee hike. The college does allow students belonging to the EWS category to avail scholarships for the course. The tuition fee comes to around 8 lakhs, excluding hostel fees.
Likes
- I love the campus and infrastructure, NIT trichy has a lush green campus. The department buildings and the classess are really well maintained
- The college provides internship and placement opportunities on campus and have a separate department of training and placement cell.
Dislikes
- The temperature during summer is too much.
- The college is too big it is very exhausting to travel from one building to other
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The fee structure is same for all Btech students but fee Remission is provided based on income criteria and quotas. You can avail remission in tution fee if you are eligible accordingly. Students can also apply for private and government scholarships.
Likes
- I like to explore the campus here so many places are there Library,octagon,etc where we can learn a lot of thinkgs
- And here education is also good professors are highly qualified
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are good but hostel room is okay not excellent
- Girls should not go out after 9pm it is not fair we too wanna enjoy the late nights
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Per semester tution fee is 62500 every time we come to hostel after vacation we should pay this fee and hostel fee is 50,000 but there is fee remission for backward students and sc,st,was,obc,so it is fair and college is agreeing for scholarship also

- Sports fest, cultural fests and tech fest and symposium are too good.
Dislikes
- Mess food is not that great and needs an improvement
- Curfew for girls after 9:15 is being difficult in emergency situations
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
We have institution fee waiver which helps the backward caste candidates and the people who have income below less than 5 lakh will be benefitted. Even the candidates will get various scholarship opportunities. Even alumini is willing to help the students financially. Campus placements are also too good and are helpful.

NIT Trichy does not have any scholarship facilities for all MCA students who have got admission through NIMCET. However, the reserved minority students can apply for merit/ need based scholarship in pursuing MCA. There are loan facilities available in the campus which unreserved category students can take for pursuing MCA.
