In my college NIT Goa, students are eligible for campus placements after sem 6 or the start of 7th sem till the end of the 8th semester The highest package is 44LPA and the average package is around 6LPA to 10LPA

Various events organized and facilities available in the campus

A lot of events happens in my college like Savayaas, parasang, umang, collaboration with spie and TEDx There are almost all books which are required for study in the library As of now, there is no sports facility on my campus as we shifted to my this new campus last sem only

What is the total fees of the course?

My year-wise tuition fee is around RS. 80,000 to rs. 90,000 while my mess or hostel fees are around rs. 80,000 per year The fees for SC/ST students are: Tuition fees is rs. 2,000 per year and mess or hostel fees is rs. 80,000 per year Currently ,i am not getting any scholarship Now as of Nov 2024, i am in the second year

I want to be an engineer so i choosed to do engineering and after the results of JEE i want to be in an NIT having a good branch so i choosed EC electronics and communication as my branch i till now its going smooth

Facilities provided in the college hostel

Inside my room(single seperate room) we got a fan, a window, an almirah, a table, a chair, and a bed which oerfect more than sufficient lights The meal or food quality is worst and we cant do anything about it

Students view on faculties

I can say that the faculties at NIT Goa are very interactive and helpful. I like most of the faculties which have taught me since my first year also except for a few as they are very angry and egoistic and deduct marks according to how their day is going

Admission

I only applied for Top NITs and IITs and i want to have a good branch also so i choosed nit goa electronics and communication as my branch. I got in this college on my jee rank basis considering on obc category

Night Life

As I mentioned before also that we shifted to a new campus so we don't have any sports or gym activities within the campus, but there are gym facilities near the campus around 500 m away only The campus timing is 6 am to 9 pm while the hostel timing for both boys and girls is 6 am to 11 pm

Only one basket ball and vollyball court for sports , no ground ,nothing . There is one ground in front of boys hostel where no grass only needle like rocks if you fall your bone will be cracked and , recently they started to let sevagewater out init

I was getting MBM jodhpur I got something with related to computer science which was really good branch there and it's a really good state college of rajsthan but I choose nitg because I like mechanical more and I was getting this in a NIT. So I went for it and it's okaish here .. placement is not that great but have to work so hard to get one . I gave JEE mains to get in here and i had rank of 49 k ,I was getting SVNIT civil too but I liked this more (the SVNIT is a better college if I was getting mech there)

I applied to the other NITs. But I got a NIT Goa and I chose the NIT Goa because Goa is very beautiful place. Yes , I did get rejections from other college Because of my percentage and rank. The admission process is very easy. The eligibility to get in NIT goa is to clear JEE mains with good percentage. Score above 90% tile, 99%tile can easily get any NIT.

Visiting the interiors!

NIT Goa is located in the dream vacation place of India and abroad. It is nice to visit peaceful beaches of goa to escape from hectic college life sometimes. Also Goa is not just beaches and parties, it is much more and we have seen all of it.
NIT Goa inspite of being new NIT is growing at a very fast pace. Honestly when I joined the college i wasn't so happy but now the picture is really different, infrastructure, equipments, culture, every aspect is improving with each joining batch.

Dislikes

In timing of Nit Goa is 9 pm after that campus gates are closed. So we don't really get to enjoy the night life of Goa. Also from this year Institute is making it compulsory for everyone to stay in hostels, so PGs are not an option anymore.
There are less clubs in NIT Goa and even the present clubs like ecell is not active. The recent joined batches have initiated many new clubs but because of less population clubs are not doing very well.

Admission:

I gave jee mains in 2021 and got 95 percentile and got NIT Goa. This may sound genuine as an admission process, but it is not. This is because of reservation of home state students. In my class, there are students who even don't have 90 percentile. And not only this, more than 50% population is from Goa in the college. And this is why we see disputes between the goans and non-goans. Very high home state quota reservation is one reason that the admission process isn't fair.

The competition in the class is very good and makes me improve and study

The lack of infrastructure and facilities and also the lack of resources

Admission:

The Institute is not very old and just this year was shifted to it's new campus. The seats before were quite less before but might increase now. The entrance was through jee and the cutoff varies for home state and other state students. Home state student have seemingly cutoff at a much larger rank compared to the other states students. The cutoff varies every year.

We have to qualify for the jee exams and the jee exams conducted by NTA. And the percentage in the 12th should be above 75 percent. The maximum rank in jee will be 300000 till the student can get admission. The highest package is 45lpa and the average package is 9lpa.

Yes, The candidate should have a B.Tech degree. The candidate should have scored 60% marks. The initial selection is made on the basis of marks scored by a candidate in GATE. After having the valid score of GATE, a candidate has to go through the CCMT counseling process.

The initial selection is made on the basis of marks scored by a candidate in GATE. After having the valid score of GATE, a candidate has to go through the CCMT counseling process. The candidate should have a B.Tech degree. The candidate should have scored 60% marks. The candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies (IE, ICE, IETE, AeSI, IIChemE, IIM, IIE) and have enrolled on or before May 31, 2014 are also eligible to participate in CCMT-2020 counseling process

NIT Goa BTech admissions are based on the JEE Main Score. The JEE Mains examination (session 1) is scheduled to take place from January 24 to February 1, 2024. Furthermore, NIT Goa is also accepting PhD applications and the registration deadline is December 14, 2024. The written test/ interview for NIT Goa PhD will be conducted on 27 – 29 December 2024 tentatively.
