For MCA , the internship season starts in the beginning of second year , many famous companies like Uber, GS, Visa ,KLA visit our college . The highest package in MCA placement is 52 LPA and median is 10 LPA. Many students get PPO from the summer internship. The placement percentage for the year 2024 is not that good , but NITT MCA holds a good record of top placements.

The placements are really good although the recession is going on. From my department around 95 students sat for placements and out of that around 85 students got placed and the average CTC is around 12-13 lakhs considering the recession this is a good package.

Placements of my college is very good. Many companies visits including google, Microsoft, Tcs, Infosys,etc. after 6th semester people can sit for on campus placement. Percentage of students getting placed vary from branch to branch for civil it was 77% last year.

- There are many peoples to interact with all with great minds, even there are 4-5 fests per year, you can take part in thier organising team in the first year itself so that you will not feel bored here.

- The hostels are old hostels, they need improvement. I felt disappointing after coming in the hostels.
- The mees food is not that good in first year, but while coming in the second year, you can choose your mess in whichever you are willing to eat.

After completing the course only you are eligible for campus placements. But if you done internship in a company and the company is impressed by your work so the pre-placed you in the company. After the course completion, you can join. Software companies like Google, Microsoft,etc. and reliance, Infosys,etc. around 150 companies comes including startups as well. Placements percentage are around 75-90 percent depending on department. My plans are for MBA abroad.

- The exposure I get here is really unmatched. The amount of experiences I am gaining being part of various clubs, fest teams and ncc is really helping me evolve into a very different person.
- Having numerous number of clubs. You can literally try out all your interests and finally land up on something you love.

- Hostel facilities, they are taking 1 lakh per year but its not upto that mark. Not very bad but has a lot of scope of improvement.
- Internet quality throughout the college should be improved especially in places like library.

As a fresher I have seen my seniors getting placed in canpus placements. It is really good with an average lpa of our branch staying around 12 lpa and almost 95% getting placed its wonderful. Even for other branches, internship opportunities and scope for master are remarkable.

Students become eligible for internship from 5th semester while for placement they are eligible from 7th semester and mostly by the end of 8th sem everyone gets placed or get admission in Universities for further studies. - CSE : The placements for the CSE branch are the best in NIT Warangal as well as Trichy and Surathkal. Students are placed in huge software giants like Microsoft, D.E.Shaw, Adobe, Directi, Tower Research Capital, Cisco, IBM, and some Investment Bankers like Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley, etc The average package of CSE recorded this year was INR 30.8 LPA for BTech while INR 30.43 LPA for MTech.
- ECE - The companies coming on the first day of placements are Qualcomm, Broadcom, Nvidia, SanDisk India, Redpine Signals, Samsung, and Caterpillar, etc., Software companies like Cisco, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Oracle, etc allow ECE students to sit for placements. The average package for BTech students is INR 23.6 LPA and for MTech students is around NR 20.4 LPA.

Are the placements in NIT Trichy getting worse compared to the previous years?
Whether the placements are improving or getting worse depends on the branch you are referring to. In the case of CSE, placements can be seen improving every year due to increasing demand in the market whereas placements of other core branches are deteriorating every year. So, it’s better to sum for a better branch rather than blaming the institute. Some might deceive you into believing that the tag of the college matters more than anything. But in reality, it all depends on the branch you choose. Sometimes the JEE coaching centers promote IITs to a large extent that people tend to go for an under-average branch just for the IIT tag. I warn you against this as your career depends on your branch.
Generalizing the issue, if you happen to have a choice between lower branches at top engineering colleges like new IITs, NITs and higher branches in tier-1 colleges like BITS, CEG, and NSIT, I will say go for the latter.

A lot depends on your attitude towards that particular subject and your communication skills. You should have leadership qualities.
