Students are allowed to sit for placement in the fourth year and there are world class companies who visit us and offer a huge amount of salary. Last year highest package was 1.5 crore rupees for students of MEMS cracking an IT company offer.
If any student wants to get placed, he can easily get placement no matter what your branch is because the IIT Bombay tag is enough to get a quality job. I am planning for UPSC after BTech I have no interest in corporate.
All final year students are eligible for placements. Companies from all the domains (tech, consulting, finance) visit the campus for placements for domestic and international placements. Packages for students can vary from 8 Lacs p.a. to 1 CR p.a. While some of the students don't appear for placements, due to plans of higher studies or pre-placement offers from their summer internships, most of the students who do get offers.
Placements have always been quite impressive here with many major companies, including Honeywell, Airbus, Unilever, TATA, Accenture, Microsoft, etc., approaching the institute. For BTech, students become available for placements from their 7th semester. For the academic year 2020-21, a total of 492 students got placed with a placement percentage of around 92.13%. The average CTC offered was around 20LPA
As we all know why a JEE Aspirants to get admission in IIT Bombay. As it is the BEST college in India. They have produce many of famous ALUMINI such as Nandan Nilekani(CEO of Infosys) , late Manohar Parrikar (former CM of Goa) and many more. It provides the high quality of education. Not only in Academics, in all aspects it have the quality such as clubs, fest, sports and many more.Admission in the IITs is done through JOSAA counselling. But you have to qualify the JEE ADVANCE examination. Then according to your rank, you can check in which IIT and branch your rank is eligible!!
IIT Bombay is a big brand name in India and the college does offer a lot of room for the overall development of the students as well as good placement packages. The primary selection criteria for IIT Bombay BTech program is JEE advanced scores. Students are called for JoSSA based on this scores. But before giving the JEE advanced exam, candidates are required to clear the JEE main exam.
IIT Bombay is among the top IITs in India and that's why I chose it for my BTech. It was ranked 3rd by NIRF and 2nd by The Week for BTech program in 2020 annual rankings. IIT Bombay is accredited with AICTE and UGC and admissions here are similar to all other institutions of the IIT Group. The seats here are given as per JOSAA and the scores in JEE are referred for the admissions
