IIT Delhi BTech Admission Process

IIT Delhi admission to the BTech program is determined by the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main and Advanced). Given  below are the basic eligibility requirements to be followed:

  • Candidates must have passed Class 10+2 with PCM subjects.
  • Must have secured a minimum 75% score
  • 10% relaxation for SC/ST students

IIT Delhi B.Tech Scholarship

IIT Delhi offers scholarships and financial assistance to B.Tech students based on eligibility and merit. Given below are some of the scholarships offered to the students:

  • Institute Free Studentship UG: Every year, IIT Delhi offers Free studentship to 10% of students based on mean alone.
  • Institute Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship: Merit-cum-means scholarships are available to BTech students with a CGPA of at least 6 and a family income of no more than INR 4,50,000 annually. These scholarships offer a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of INR 1000 to no more than 25% of the students. 10% more students who fit the income requirement receive tuition reimbursement.  All students who fall within the SC, ST, or PwD categories are exempt from paying the tuition.
  • Institute Merit Prizes and Certificates: IIT Delhi offers merit prizes and certificates to the top 7% of B.Tech students of each semester till the 8th semester. The prize amount is INR 2500.
  • Donor Scholarships: Donor-supported MCM scholarships are offered to students who must pay the entire tuition cost and have a family income of less than 9 LPA. JEE (Advanced) rank is used to select students, and maintaining a CGPA of at least 7 at the end of each academic year is required for continuing. The scholarship amount of Rs 1 Lakh per annum covers half the tuition fee and the award is for 4 yrs only.
  • Scholarship provision for SC/ST students: SC/ST students can apply for this scholarship. It provides an exemption of tuition fees to such candidates.
