IIT Delhi B.Tech Admission 2024 is based on JEE Advanced scores. JoSAA has released the Round 2 Seat Allotment Result. Check IIT Delhi JEE Advanced Cutoff 2024 here. Further, the Round 3 Seat Allotment Result will be out on July 04 (5 PM) and the last date for fee payment of Round 3 is July 08.
Other updates are as follows:
- For the IIT Delhi M.Tech admission, the GATE COAP (Round 9) Seat Allotment will be done from July 03 to July 05, 2024.
- IIT JAM Additional Merit List will be declared on July 03, 2024.

Admission:
First, you have to clear JEE mains and then JEE advanced with a very good rank to get into IIT Delhi. there's a website for NTA that conducts JEE mains all the information about JEE mains like eligibility criteria, cut-off, etc. available on the site. There are also some reservation benefits like a slightly low cut-off and lower fees JEE mains are conducted twice in year, the first one in January and the other one in April then the eligible students appear for JEE Advance which is generally conducted in May. The difficulty level of JEE Mains is kind of similar to Boards numerical But JEE advanced is way different than JEE mains , Advanced has difficulty level from moderate to difficut, very few questions that were easy or just stright forward. Seat allotment process can be improved.

The admission takes place through JOSAA (joint seat allocation authority) as per marks score JEE Advanced. The cutoff for general male students goes from AIR 1 to AIR 5000. The process can be sometimes complicated but with the progress it gets easier

- No hostel facilities for first year students
- Less campus area to roam around and chill with friends

Through GATE you'll be admitted and sometimes you may have to face an exam or else an interview as well to get that seat. I belonged to OBC - NCL category. The admission process is good and should be online as most of the students cannot visit the campus from all parts of the country

For Admission to IIT Delhi, you need to pass the jee advanced examination. It is conducted every year by any one of the 7 assigned IITs. In order to appear in JEE advanced, you need to qualify the cutoff of JEE main. Yes there is reservation for categories according to the government of India policy. Admission:
The candidates first need to give JEE Mains examination, and then 2.5 lacs of them qualify for JEE Advanced. Then those secure rank of around 5000 are eligible for some branch or the other. There are relaxations for the reserved categories. After that, through JOSAA councelling, you can get admitted to the college.

- Strict curriculum, it is much harder than other colleges and getting good gpa is very tough
- distance, the distance from boys hotel to lecture complex is very large and demotivates students from attending classes

you have to perform well in jee advanced. opening rank and closing ranks are based on josaa counselling you get course according to rank you have obtained in the exam. if you belong to lower caste, admission is easier. you get seat very easily if you are SC ST OBC

- The mentorship quality is superb. We get to have mentors from our same branch who are currently in 3rd year where they support us and help gain knowledge about tech industry and relevant skill sets.
- You get interact to with like minded people in cultural clubs and technical clubs where you can gain a lot of knowledge like which carrier options to chose from. trust me!
Dislikes
- The grading system is completely in the hands of professor. It's his will to give good grades or bad ones. Generally on average a 7(B-) is given but some profs give a 6(C) for average.
- It's a highly stressful environment for people in non circuital branches which may be cause of some mental illness. Managing academics is one of the main primary tasks here and its definitely not an easy task for students in non circuital branches.
Admission:
For my branch you need to have atleast a 6k+ JEE advanced rank. For qualifying JEE advanced you need to clear JEE mains depending on your category there are cut offs for the general it is around 91-93 percentile and for reservations like SC/ST the cut offs goes to 40-50 percentile. The marks for 91-93 percentile are around 90-120 but you should always aim for more. Everything can be found on by just googling their names and the cutoffs are uploaded on the jee mains website.No improvements should be done in the admission process because it seperates a disciplined one from the others.

- Course content is carefully prepared. Most of the courses have coursework sufficient for a thorough understanding.

JAM exam was needed to be cleared for admission into MSc programs. JAM can be cleared easily with good knowledge of subjects and by solving relevant problems from previous papers. Admission process was smooth and mostly online, there wasn't much paperwork

- academic : iit delhi provides world class faculty and the top notch class environment with hi-tech equipments , mic -speakers ,digital board ,big classrooms , air conditioned .
- I preferably like lABS here because its full of top tier instruments with all the top certification and all type of facilities and safety instruments and the lab staff is also well trained ,also we are provided TA for assitances
Dislikes
- Strict course policy , professors take their course seriously and deadline and submission and exams are tough , it demands a high focus and time and leave no room for error.
- there many things to explore and do and in midst of this sometimes academic backlogs create and clearing them is next to impossible in this highly competitive environment where there is a rat race for every small thing

admission is through Jee Advance. For Jee Advance you have to clear the Jee mains and then after qualifying for Jee Adv, you have to register on the Jossa counseling portal for the further application process. eligibility is PCM student. every year a zonal iit conducts a jee adv you can find application form there, fees of form is 2500. generally, it happens in May. all Indian government reservations are available. It's conducted once a year. the exam is generally on a moderate to difficult level.

What is the selection criteria for MBA at IIT Delhi?
The selection criteria for MBA at IIT Delhi are as follows
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
- A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or 6.75 CGPA on a 10-point scale or equivalent in the qualifying degree.
- A relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e. min. 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e. min. 6.25 on a 10-point scale) for the SC/ST candidates.
- Relaxation in criteria for PH candidates may be as per the Institute rules.
Anyone who meets the above criteria is eligible for admission to DMS, IIT Delhi, provided he clears the interview round.
Why has IIT Delhi made its PhD admissions so hard?
IIT Delhi Ph.D eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Passed M.Tech/M.E/M.Sc/MBA degree with minimum 60% marks

Can we complete our MA in English in IIT Delhi or any other IITs? If yes, what is the admission procedure?
No, IIT Delhi does not provide MA in English. Some other IITs do provide humanities programs, for instance, IIT Madras offers 5-year integrated MA courses in English as well as in Development Studies. Admission to these courses is done through an entrance test called HSEE.
Other IITs have their own net above tests for the specific humanities programs offered and details can be sought from the official website of respective colleges. Additionally, some IITs also offer Ph.D. programs in different humanities disciplines including English literature.

Admission to the MSc Cognitive Science program by IIT Delhi is based on scores in any of the following national-level entrance exams:

How do I take admission in PhD course in IIT Delhi?
IIT Delhi offers many Ph.D. programs, admissions are done on the basis of the following entrance exams GATE, and NET. The final shortlisting is done on the basis of personal interviews.
