I am a part of the Engineering Physics program. I chose this program because I am interested in physics. The faculty-to-student ratio is one of the highest for the physics department at IIT Delhi. All of the faculty members are PhDs with more than 10 years of experience.

I chose this course as other than energy engineering in Bombay this is the course which attracts me the best. Also, I had a keen interest in physics but didn't want to pursue basic science so I chose this. Our batch strength for the EP department is 60. Out of which 12 are girls. So yes, a 4:1 ratio is there for boys: girls. Other than this, the faculty is mainly friendly. Except some of them are troublemakers. The teaching faculty is good. But grading-wise, you will be tested and many times they are strict unnecessarily. The faculty-student ratio is good. You have tas assigned you can go to them for doubts always. Term exams are a little hard. Professor though mainly focuses on understanding the concept rather than just solving the problems. You have to be attentive in class to pass the exams easily. It takes small efforts, but other than this it's easy.

In our branch, we have approx 700 sub-courses to study. But till the 8 semester, you have to pass through at least the recommended courses, and every year you have to earn a minimum number of credits. If we talk about the courses and how easy they are, some courses are very easy as some might be difficult for you. For 1st year you have a total of 37 credits, 2nd year you have 47 credits and the next two years are almost chill.

Engineering physics is the best course if you want to pursue a career in physics. Engineering physics encompasses all branches of physics. For every single subject in our 4-year Btech Course, there are about 3 - 4 teachers and about 50 - 60 students. So about 15:1 The faculty are well versed and are all PHDs, and the teaching method is intuitive. Major exams are once every semester at end of minor exams are every semester in the middle of the term. (1 year = 2 semesters). The difficulty of exams is moderate, not hard to pass.

IIT Delhi is recognized for offering a comprehensive and challenging curriculum in engineering and technology. The course material covers various subjects and is regularly updated to stay current with the latest advancements. The faculty at IIT Delhi is well-qualified and experienced and known for their innovative teaching methods and expertise. The faculty-student ratio is favorable, allowing for individualized attention. Pursuing a degree from IIT Delhi provides a strong foundation in the field and networking opportunities with industry leaders. The term exams at IIT Delhi are conducted promptly and are challenging but not impossible to pass. Preparation and hard work are necessary to succeed in these exams.
Engineering physics is a challenging course to pursue. Only people who are enthusiastic about understanding physics should opt for this. The faculty-student ratio is about 50:1. The faculty is very well qualified, somewhat arrogant as well but knowledgeable in their respective field. Exams are patterned as minors and majors. For any course, you have 2 minors of 20 marks each and 1 major of 40 marks. Rest 20 marks will be for attendance, quiz, or assignments. Some courses are really hard to pass. You have to study for each physics course.
I think talking about the curriculum will not be a justifiable option as the college curriculum is best in terms of engineering and follows all the international regulations. The curriculum is designed in a way that we get all the information about engineering plus we are well equipped with management knowledge too. The faculty of the college is highly trained and they have completed their PhD degree from the top universities of India and their teaching methods cannot be compared. The faculty are so experienced that they understand our issues very well and help us to resolve them. I must say that the collge has very good faculties.
They charge Rs 1,12,650 per semester for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. They charge Rs 1,08,000 per semester for 4th year. Mess and hostel charges are around Rs 25,000 per semester. Many many scholarships are available at IITD, which are mostly merit-cum-means scholarship. One also get scholarship if they have cracked NTSE. I don't know much about jobs because I am in 1st year only. But I have heard that the average package is around 10-12 lakhs and many people are able to get a 20 lakhs+ package also.
Rs 200000- For students whose parental income is greater than 5 lakhs. Income 1- 5 lakhs- 90000, Under 1 lakh- 15000. The fees is bearable and MCM scholarships are also provided on income and merit basis. which solves the problem to a greater extent. It is also very easy to get an education loan.

I will suggest you not opt for Engineering Physics in IIT Delhi if you want to study basic stuff like Newtonian Mechanics or electrical circuits or are intrigued by Astrophysics or Cosmology, as in that case IIT Kanpur or IISER Pune, is more suitable for you.
I will restrict my answer to Engineering Physics and Chemicals only as I know the same only.
I wouldn’t suggest anyone go for Engineering Physics if they have no intention of pursuing it later. Instead, look for other options in BTech and explore your interests.
Engineering Physics is one of the most intriguing research-oriented branches of IIT Delhi. Students of this branch get the excellent opportunity to work in top research centers like ISRO, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. Eminent scientists and professors testify to the branch's credibility so need not worry about placements.
However, this branch is highly challenging and should be opted for only if you are serious about making a career out of it. The curriculum is challenging with high-level mathematics.
Students from most branches end up working in MNCs and leave soon because they are not satisfied. However, the Engineering Physics branch provides excellent job prospects. I know someone who chooses this branch over CS and Electrical despite his AIR being 10.
This branch requires serious commitment and one has to be truly devoted to the field. The faculty is not that good in comparison to other branches and this might make you suffer initially, but once you start understanding the practical concepts, it will become one of the most interesting courses you have ever come across.
The choice of college and branch totally depends on your inclination and career prospects. Yet, a few pointers you might consider
For MBA/ non-core jobs/Startups: IIT Delhi Textile is the best choice if you are looking for any 3 of these options. Its excellent location provides enough exposure to give you access to unimaginable opportunities. Many events hosted by industry experts, CEOs of big companies, and successful entrepreneurs will give a better insight into the startup culture. Moreover, students preparing for competing exams can easily access coaching centers nearby.
Research in Biotechnology: If you are interested in research in general or Biotechnology specifically, then the Biotechnology at KGP is an excellent choice. It is one of the most demanding fields in terms of research and general growth. With a good CGPA, you can find a research internship or you can apply for MS or Ph.D. Even job opportunities are plentiful.
Campus: IIT Delhi is better because of its small size and location
Lastly, Engineering Physics from IIT Guwahati should be considered only if you are genuinely passionate about Physics and want to pursue a research career in the same. The curriculum comprises high-tech mathematical concepts and is a good option to pursue a career in economics and computer science.
I will recommend you opt for Engineering Physics only if
A few points one needs to know regarding Engineering Physics
IIT Ropar despite being a new IIT offers decent opportunities in terms of higher studies as well as job opportunities. He can work with top research organizations like ISRO and BARC or even work at reputed firms.
Concludingly, IIT Delhi is a good choice if your primary interest is physics and higher studies. If you are looking for a high-paying CA-related job, then IIT Ropar is for you.
I can attest to the fact that Engineering Physics at IIT Delhi and IIT Madras is the perfect blend of Physics and Electrical Engineering one could ask for.
You can opt for both physics as well as electrical courses as your electives. Your final year project can be in any one of these departments and you are free to choose provided that there is a good balance between science, mathematics, and engineering.
Most students of Electrical Physics eventually go for Electrical as you design your course instead of getting stuck on a mandatory curriculum.
At IIT Delhi, there is more focus on Physics than Electrical and for those interested in the same, this course is bliss.
