As the college is new so the infrastructure is quite modern.
The equipments in lab are of latest model.

Dislikes

This IIT is not very big as compared to other IITs
Sports facilities are here but not very crazy.

Faculty:

In materials department, student can easily approach to any professor of department. Even department meetings are held timely. Materials HOD Rani Rohini ma'am is also very helpful. There are 4 exams in which 2 are class tests and one is mid sem and one is end sem.

There is Mentorship Program For Freshers so that can know the culture of campus
There are various clubs for overall development of students like coding, robotics ,cultural ,arts

Dislikes

Old pattern course that cannot fulfill future demands of skills required
Not enough Placements Like first gen. IIT's

Faculty:

There is a good faculty-to-student ratio in DC coures beacuse there is a less number of students in a batch. But when we talk aboult IC coures there is like 1:150 faculty-to-students ratio. We can interact with teachers in their free time in thier respective ofiice.

Food of IIT Jammu mess is good and they maintain hygiene.
Environment of IIT Jammu is good and we can see the mountain of mata vaishno temple from IIT Jammu.

Dislikes

Attandance is mandatory minimum 70 percent.
Campus area is small in comparison other IITs

Faculty:

Faculty ratio is 1:3. You can easily approach the faculty their number and emails are mentioned on the college site. You can interact with every teacher on the working days and some teachers may offer help even on weekend.

Good Nature, well maintained hostels and faculty
Easily approachable and helpful faculty.

Dislikes

Attendance policy is 70% and biometric scan
Small campus with less students and average campus life

Faculty:

Teachers here are well qualified and easily approachable. They also provide internships and reasearch opportunities. Teaching methodology and curriculum is same as other IITs. No problem related to faculty impact on students

There is less interaction between students themselves
The restrictions inside the hostel and the extra charges for anything

The faculty to student ratio is 1:42 which is indeed a good ratio between faculty and students. Faculties are always ready to make students comfortable regarding the problem they face through their topic

College is just in nature, no pollution ,no rushes and beautiful sky.
TA ( teaching assistants) are very polite and humble.

Dislikes

Management in hosting fests, programs are not that top notch.

Faculty:

Most of the faculties are good. They have deep knowledge in their subjects and related fields. They are very interactive with students and even play sports with them in some events.faculty to student ratio is near 1:15.

campus scienic view is amazing its better than most colleges
location is very nice, all hillstations are near

Dislikes

batch size of the department is very low
shops facilities are not so good it needs improvement

Faculties heer are very much helpful,due to less student-factulty ratio we can interact with them very easily ,they are even very approachable ,every one from faculty is a Phd degree holder mostly from IITs only.Some department prof. are strict about course policies and attendence while some are not

Actually I Like The Environment Here. As A Nature Loving Guy Who Always Wants To Be Close With Nature Or Those Who Wants The Same Can Surely Join This College.
College Is Made Up Of German Technique By Made In India Engineers. College Theme Is Mountainous.

Dislikes

Too Much Boundation On Entry And Exit For Students (As An Highly Armed Area, Army Protects Us).
Due To Less No. Of Students Competition Is Reaching it's Peak.

Faculty:

The faculty-student ratio is not particularly large. Due To the Less No.Of Students At IIT Jammu College, Students Can Easily Ask Doubts And Concerns. I Think Due To Having Less Faculty-Student ratio, We Are Able To Seek More Knowledge. We Do Not Need To Worry About Studying One Before The Exam. We can go directly to the faculty room and ask questions (if they were not asked in class). The faculty Is Easily approachable. All The Faculties Here At The College Are Very enthusiastic And Passionate About Teaching In their domain. If Faculty Is Not Available We Can Go To TAS as By The Faculty For A a particular course. The Best Thing Is That TAS Also Live In The Same Hostel. You Can Go To their Room Anytime You Want.

High steep distance between hostels and academic building

Faculty:

Faculty to students ratio varies with the branch you have enrolled.Faculties are well to do and highly intellectual.Almost all of them have graduated from good international Universities.However the faculty,most of them are quite young .So may be a lack of experience can be a down point for them.Rest is fine.

IIT Jammu faculty for B.Tech are highly qualified, constructive, and supportive. All the faculty at IIT Jammu utilize digital tools and projectors for teaching. The IIT Jammu curriculum is relevant for the students. IIT Jammu faculty takes all the lab sessions for B.Tech students.
