About YCET
Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) is an AICTE(All India Council for Technical Education) approved self-financed institution. YCET is located at Gurha Brahmana (Patoli), Akhnoor Road, Jammu, about 8 kms from Jammu General Bus Stand. One of the top institutions in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir(as per J&K Reorganization Act, 201) is well recognized by the Government of India and is affiliated to the University of Jammu.
YCET currently runs four full-time 4-year Bachelor’s Programme in Engineering.
The college takes admission through the list issued by Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BoPEE). However, the college also accepts students under NRI and other quotas as per regulations issued by AICTE and the state Government.

YCET Admission
Selection criteria
Admission to YCET is based on Common Entrance Test (Engineering) that is conducted by the BoPEE. The most important thing to consider before applying online is that one must be a resident of the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
The application for the exam is through ONLINE mode while the examination will be held in OFFLINE mode.

- Fill the online form and then make a payment of Rs. 1200/-
- The payment are to be submitted through National Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking

Gym: The college has a Gym facility for the students to stay fit and Healthy.
Library: The college has the library facility for all the students.
Sports: The college has the sports facilities for all students in which the students can play badminton and other sports. It has a sports Complex in which the students can play many games such as Basketball, Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Chess, Carrom, etc. for staying fit, Healthy and making their mind sharp.
IT Infrastructure: The college has Two computer lab of 30 PC’s each with two server rooms with WIFI.
Cafeteria: The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.
Auditorium: The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.
Transportation: The college has a transport facility for students and staff.
Wi-fi: The college has WIFI connectivity throughout the campus with high network speed. It has enabled the wi-fi facility in all parts of the Campus such as library, classrooms, playground, seminar hall, etc.

Admission:
eligibility: 12th or Diploma +Entrance test which is conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations ( JKBOPEE). Reservation Categories are available like -OBC, SC, ST, etc. No, I don't want any improvement in the admission process.

The admission is based on the entrance examination. On the 10th and 12th, a minimum of 55% is required. One needs to score at least the cutoff marks in the entrance exam, JKCET. On counselling day, every required document is checked thoroughly.

Our college is good in overall. Sometimes our college is so strict that we aren't able to get to the canteen for some food which makes a negative impact on students. Also they fine the students for shortage purposes and various other things
