IIT Jammu admission to various UG & PG courses is conducted via national-level entrance examinations. B.Tech is the most opted program among all at IIT Jammu with an intake capacity of 280 students. Candidates seeking admission to the flagship B.Tech program at IIT Jammu must clear the JEE Advanced exam and register for the JoSAA counseling for their seat allocation. The total course fee for the 4-year B.Tech program is INR 4.84 Lacs.

Apart from the flagship B.Tech program, IIT Jammu offers other courses like M.Tech, and MSc. IIT Jammu B.Tech Admission 2024

IIT Jammu B.Tech is offered in 7 specializations. For each specialization, IIT Jammu offers 40 seats. The colleges also offer 8 supernumerary seats to female candidates in in each discipline offered by the institute.

IIT Jammu B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a minimum of 75% mark in 10+2 from a recognized board of education OR Candidate in the top 20 percentile in class 12. For SC/ST candidates 10% relaxation is given in the qualifying degree marks, which means 65% is required in class 12.

IIT Jammu B.Tech Selection Criteria

IIT Jammu M.Tech Admissions 2024

The 2-year IITJammu M.Tech program is offered in 8 different specializations. Candidates will be shortlisted for Test/Interview (admission test) in due course, on the basis of concerned examination marks and GATE score. The final selection of candidates for admission will be based on counselling.

IIT Jammu M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

IIT Jammu M.Tech Selection Criteria

Selection for IIT Jammu admission to M.Tech is on the basis of a valid GATE score. Candidates should have the GATE cutoff higher than the institute-set cutoff. Further, shortlisted candidates will be assessed on the basis of a technical round of written tests/interviews as the principal subsequent criterion.

IIT Jammu Dual Degree Admission 2024

IIT Jammu in collaboration with IIM Jammu offers a dual degree program (BTech + MBA). The total duration for the program is 6 years. The initial four years for the B. Tech program and the last two years for the MBA program. The program has been strategically designed to allow students to exit the program after completing the fourth year, as specified in the National Education Policy 2020, Ministry of Education, Government of India. After completing the fourth year, students will have the option of graduating with a B.Tech degree or earning a certificate in management.

IIT Jammu Dual Degree Eligibility Criteria

In terms of age limit, qualifying examinations, and year of appearance in qualifying examinations, eligibility for the dual degree program will be determined by the JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced).

Eligibility to continue into MBA Program

To continue into the MBA program without taking the CAT, a minimum CGPA of 7 would be required. Any participant with a CGPA of less than 7 at the end of the fourth year must take the mandatory exit after the fourth year. These students, however, may take the CAT in order to gain admission to IIMs.

IIT Jammu Dual Degree Admission Criteria

JEE will be used to determine admission to the integrated dual degree program (Advanced).
If students achieve a CGPA of 7 or higher in the B.Tech., they will be able to complete both the B.Tech. and the MBA degrees without taking the CAT.

IIT Jammu MBA (HA & HM) Admission 2024

IIT Jammu in collaboration with AIIMS Jammu and IIM Jammu offers MBA in Hospital Administration & Health Care Management. IIM Jammu will offer courses on Management, AIIMS Jammu will offer courses on Hospital Administration and Health Care and IIT Jammu will offer courses Technology. The selection criteria consist of CAT examination, shortlisting of candidates for the Personal Interview (PI), preparation of the merit list based on CAT score, PI score, and Profile score. The total intake capacity for the program is 60 seats.

The Admission Committee at IIM Jammu will select the number of candidates who will be called for the Personal Interview (PI) process based on criteria developed for each category. If the actual number of short-listed candidates is less (more) than the required number of candidates to be called for PI category-wise, the overall, as well as the section-wise minimum score will be reduced (increased) to get the desired number of candidates.

Once the candidates have appeared for the PI round, the final merit list for admission is prepared on the basis of CAT score, PI score, and student profile. The weightage given to each section is given below:

Profile: 30%

The bifurcation of marks in the Profile category is divided into Academic Profile, Work Experience, and Diversity (Academic & Gender). Each section is given marks in the following manner:

Offer Acceptance Fee and Withdrawal

A candidate who receives an admission offer from IIM Jammu and accepts the offer within the deadline must send an Offer Acceptance amount of INR 50,000/- along with the Offer Acceptance. If a candidate later decides to withdraw the offer before the withdrawal date specified by the Institute, the Offer Acceptance Amount will be refunded after deducting INR 1,000 in processing fees. If a candidate requests a withdrawal after the Institute's deadline, no refund will be granted. If a candidate enrols in the programme, his or her Offer Acceptance Amount will be deducted from the Term I Fee. If you withdraw from the Program after registering, you will not receive a refund of the Offer Acceptance Amount or the Term Fee.

IIT Jammu Ph.D Admissions 2024

IIT Jammu offers Ph.D programme in 10 different departments Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

Candidates seeking IIT Jammu admission in Humanities and Social Sciences subjects should have a valid score in UGC NET.Admission to a Ph.D. program in Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics/HSS requires CSIR/UGC NET/GATE/DST INSPIRE/NBHM qualification.

For Engineering discipline, GATE qualification is desirable for M.Tech. degree holders, and essential for B.Tech. degree holders with exceptional academic credentials.

The entrance in the btech program of any branch is on the basis of Jee Advanced rank and as this is the 3rd Gen IIT so one can get into this at a somewhere high rank also. And Jee advanced happens after 2 session of Mains

College is just in nature, no pollution ,no rushes and beautiful sky.
TA ( teaching assistants) are very polite and humble.

Dislikes

Management in hosting fests, programs are not that top notch.

Admission:

To be eligible to give exam of jee mains and advanced you need to get 75% in your respective boards or in top 80 percentile for gen/obc/EWS. For sc/st the same is for 65% . Last year cutoff for gen was 90.2percentile .

We need to clear JEE Advanced exam registration and admission happen via josaa counselling only i have no reservation benefits i m from general category after admission we need to pay admission ,institute and mess fee : cutoff for my department material scienece goes :15000 to 17000 (CRL) for general

College Is Made Up Of German Technique By Made In India Engineers. College Theme Is Mountainous.

Too Much Boundation On Entry And Exit For Students (As An Highly Armed Area, Army Protects Us).
Due To Less No. Of Students Competition Is Reaching it's Peak.

For Taking Admission Here, You Have To Clear First Jee (Mains) And Jee-Advance. Application Form Fees Forms Are Provided To You Once You Get Seat At IIT Jammu In Any Course Through Josaa Counselling. Once You Get A Seat Through The Josaa Counselling Process You Will Be Directed To The College's Official Portal, i.e.(Eg.IIT Jammu) . You will be assigned a college seat based on your category rank. Eg. mine was 2724 In My category, so I Got Civil Engineering Course. College After Getting Seat Will Provide A Mentor (Who Is Nothing But A Student Itself of IIT Jammu). He Will Help You In Further Process Of Application Form, Fees And Document Verification. I think the Way Our College Is Handeling The Admission Process Is Good Till now.

Ambiance is very beautiful and clean environment
Hostel services are well off and cheap including washing machines hot water heaters

Dislikes

Mandatory attendance policy of 70 percentage
High steep distance between hostels and academic building

Admission:

Admission is done through JOSAA .you have to clear JEE Advanced to claim a seat. For boys , the maximum rank is around 19 thousand and for girls ,the maximum rank is around 27 thousand. Definitely the reserved categories are given more concession intbhw rank system.

The entrance for any iit is jee mains + advances These are the most difficult examinations for the undergraduates toh need a rank of approx 5k ( general boy ) to enter the college For girls it's starts about (6-8k)

The behavioral of seniors and Supporting Staff is really good except some people

Course curriculum is little bit oriented toward Mix Subject of EE and EC

Admission:

As all of you know for the admission in an IIT you must have to pass the Jee Mains and Jee Advanced Exam. You need to qualify the Jee mains and Secure under 20000 rank in Advanced for the admission in this college or you can also say for any IIT. For the application you have to first apply for the Jee mains from its Website if you clear the Jee mains Cutoff then only you can apply for Jee Advanced. The cut of Jee mains for a general Student vary b/w 90 to 92 pertentile( it may chnaged), 70-75 pertentile for OBC students and further less for SC/ ST students. Application fee you can check on its Website and Appication are open around Nov.- Dec. Every yera for Jee mains after that in may fir Jee Advanced.

It is the fastest growing iit. Due to less strength and High growth rate, lots of opportunities for students in every field either it is sports or academics.
Campus is extending day by day new building and infrastructure is developed.hightech and lastest technology is used inside the new campus.

Dislikes

Campus area is less nowadays but it extends in next 1 or 2 year.
Sports facilities are good but not like the iit standard . Ground is small and common ground for many sports

Admission:

As it is an IIT, so you have toh qualified two exam jee mains and jee advanced conducted by NTA every year. First you have to qualify jee mains whose cutoff are 93 percentile for general category. And only then you will be appearing in jee advanced For admission in IIT Jammu you have to secure minimum 17000 rank in jee advanced

IIT Jammu PhD Admission 2024 (August Session) for the Academic Year 2024–25 is going on. IIT Jammu PhD is a 3-year program in a total of 11 different departments. There are various options for IIT Jammu PhD admission, such as full-time, externally funded, external project funding, off-campus (external), off-campus (part-time), and institute staff. IIT Jammu PhD program admission requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, technology, science, or any equivalent discipline. Apart from this, candidates need GATE, UGC-CSIR NET, GPA, NBHM, ICMR (JS), and ICAR (JS) scores. Candidates can use the following steps for the IIT Jammu PhD admission in 2024:

Candidates must visit the official website of IIT Jammu: ttps://saral.iitjammu.ac.in/phdapplication.
After that, you can click on the ‘Click Here to Log in’ button.
