Course is highly flexible in nature, you can study almost everything you want alongside your major by opting for breadth elective or additional. The Engineering courses are really good although the papers are on the harder side.

I choose this course not because of my interest but my aim was to get a better IIT than a better course. Specifically, I didn't know much about chemical engineering at the time of admisssion. After studying it here, I developed interest in it because professors are very friendly and knowledgable and they show genuine interest while teaching. They try their best to keep the course structure and material up to date as per industry standards. However, I cannot deny that there are a few number of professors who are still following old study materials like same set of slides being used since 2010, otherwise I do not think any other thing need to change. We have well-furnished laboratories and ample of opportunities to do projects ir research in our field of interest. As per exams, we have Mid-semester and End-Semester exams in each semester. Regarding class tests, it totally depend upon the professor. The difficulty of exam also depends on the professor, where some just rotate PYQ papers.

The course is quite interesting. I chose this course because it was the best fit for me according to my rank in the JEE exam and I had lots of interest in it. Faculties in this department are quite friendly and they are in large number so that student can interact one to one to their faculty as well as head of department. These faculties have studied from prestigious institutions, even prestigious than the IITs. Their teaching methodology have been tested and proved beneficial to the students by their seniors. Exams are conducted time to time so that student can remember and retain the knowledge provided to them through the masterly designed course

This course is not very hectic. Also, its placement is very good. here faculty to student ratio is 1:30.profesor are highly qualified and are Ph.D. scholars with more than 20 years of teaching experience. Exams are held twice in semester and the mid-semester exam is moderate but the end sem is quite difficult.

The best campus life and one of the best college in India. Also you know about IIT. faculty:student ratio is 1:50. All professors are masters in their courses and teaching by them is good not that much best according to their knowledge. The semester in IIT kgp is approx 4 months. Professors teaches one and half month and then mid term exam starts , at the end of 4th month , the end-sem exams start. The difficulty level is hard but passing them is not that much hard due to relative grading.

chemical enginerring is less hectic course and yyou get time for doing other stuffs like coding etc .That was the my main intention of joining this course .Faculty is large and there is atleast one proffessor on 60 people. They are highly skilled they go through a very difficult selection process ,many professors are phd holders In first year they do not teach that much good they thought we know most of the things, they are usalyy more interested in research. Exams are held two times in a semester mid sem and end sem . Mid sem are moderate to tough but endsems are really tough but a student study regularly he can easily pass exams with good grades.

I choose this course because this seems to easy to be carried on and it doesn't have that much of load so, it will be me some free time to explore myself and to develop some new skills , experiences . Sex ratio is pretty bad here. Educatiomn qualtiy is upto the mark.

I am still in my first year. In the first year, all the students go through the same course, i.e, physics semester and chemistry semester. I chose chemical engineering as it has great scope for going to non-core, like programming. Currently, there are 20 sections each having 100ish students. The faculty is good enough.
