Course Curriculum Overview :

chemical enginerring is less hectic course and yyou get time for doing other stuffs like coding etc .That was the my main intention of joining this course .Faculty is large and there is atleast one proffessor on 60 people.They are highly skilled they go through a very difficult selection process ,many professors are phd holders In first year they do not teach that much good they thought we know most of the things,they are usalyy more interested in research. Exams are held two times in a semester mid sem and end sem . Mid sem are moderate to tough but endsems are really tough but a student study regularly he can easily pass exams with good grades.

Class Size : 90Course Fees : INR 163930 per year

Internships Opportunities :

they are large number of internship options by various companies . There is compulsory internships after 3 year for btech students and 4 th year for dueldegree students.Various finance companies such jpmorgan ,goldmansachhs give intership options.

Placement Experience :

CAMPUS PLACEMENT HAPPENS AFTTER 7TH SEM FOR BTECH STUDENTS OR 9TH SEM FOR DUEL DEGREE STUDENT. Many top mncs like delliote ,jbmorgan goldman saccs etc visit the campus and this year more than 900 offers had been made. highest pakage this year is not disclosed maybe somewhere around 2-3 crore. Quant companiesoffers such high packages. A decent 80 to 85 percent students placed rest goes for phd or startups.My plan is to first get a good job and then after 2-3 years of experience opening my own startup ordoing mba

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

FEES is really low in terms of other college as we are been subsidised by government . Fees hike may be 5%. Scholarship opportunities are good ,you can get scholarship on basis of your grade . Job opportunities are large as it is IIT . they are many pop's offers .I am first year so donot have any scholarship yet.

Campus Life :

Life at campus is really nice It has largest enginerring college campus 2100 acres .They are many outlets and roaming around with friends is really good. Tech fest here is Kshitij which asia largest techno management fest conducted in january (conducted 2 days before from 19-21) .Cultural fest is spring fest which also very famous conducted in january(26-28). Library is huge 3 floor library can accomodate more then thousands of students .all courses books are available along with journals. Sports facility are really good , all sports are available.TATA STEEL COMPLEX is really good football and cricket ground. They are many socities one of them is 180 dc .Consultancy based society

Hostel Facilities :

facilities of hostels are not that good at it is a government college .Though we have large room with 3 accomodation but tables and cubboards are not in good state. Meal is good some times and bad times &menu is vast but could be made better. Registration after the admission using erp .MY hall is LAL BAHDUR SHASTRI HALL.

Hostel Fee : INR 73360 per year

Admission :

jee mains and jee advanced exams Has to clear jee mains by atleast 91 percentile to get in 2.5 lakh people. In JEE ADVANCED you have to clear subject cutoff which was 6 marks this year and overall 90 marks . I got 130 marks in jee advance 8891 rank ews 1191 rank . So i got benifit of ews ccertificate and got this course. Jee main application form you will get in nta website 1 month before jeemain exam and jee advanced form on jee advance website after jeemain full result.RESERVATION can be reduced so more oppurtunities is given to a general candidate

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
