It is one of the most prestigious institutes of the country with almost all the facilities an institute can offer. One can enjoy their institute life to the best here with ample academic as well as developmental oppurtunities.

According to me I made the best choice of coming here. It's like a dream college for me. It not only has a good academics but also provides with a good social life. It's a clean and green campus with over 1100 acres. Peacocks adds more beauty to our campus. No wonder that we have cycles to move within campus.

All remarks I have of my college are positive only. it's the best college with state of art facilities and infrastructure. A campus that is awake 24*7. Facilities and freedom to even work all night is what make one fall in love with this campus.

IIT JEE, 150/372 IIT KANPUR is one of the most prestigious institute of the country and is one of the best IIT academic wise. Branch was opted according to my rank.

IIT JEE, Score-151, because of its strong general academic reputation and its close proximity to my home. During the years I have spent here, I have come to truly appreciate the depth and breadth of the iitk curriculum.

Entrance examination - IIT JEE, Score - 237. I didn't have any particular criteria for this college. I just had my mindset to go only in top 3 IITs and based on my rank in JEE I got this college and I feel so lucky that I got IIT kanpur rather than IIT Bombay and Delhi during my counselling because of lifestyle of IIT kanpur, freedom provided by campus and best part was my wing-mates.

I took IIT JEE entrance exam , 2452 AIR. One of the best Engineering colleges of India.

I gave the JEE entrance exam. I do not remember my scores (and they are not important as well because the format keeps evolving). I also did not specifically opt for this course, because they have you fill out a long preference sheet. So it was more as if I was assigned this course.

Is IIT Guwahati becoming the next IIT Kanpur?
Both IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur are well-respected institutions, known for their high-quality education and research. Comparing the two is already justified and saying that one institution is becoming the next of the other is more so. Both institutions have their strengths and areas of expertise. Yet, if I was to choose one I would have always gone for IIT Kanpur.
Some points that favor my preference are as follows:
- The quality of coursework at IIT Kanpur is extremely challenging and will keep you on your toes always. It offers the best quality of education and you will learn much more than other IITs if you are regular to classes and take your academics seriously,
- The usual schedule of a student at IIT Kanpur is not always jammed, unlike the general opinion. The timings of the clubs align with the classes and you can take out time for both if you are good at managing your time well.
- Another challenging aspect of IIT Kanpur is its tough grading system, (10,8,6,4..) under which anything below 10 is 8. Thus you are under tremendous pressure to maintain your CGPA and is enough of a motivating factor.
Overall, even if Guwahati was to be compared to IIT Kanpur, it still has a long way to go until it becomes the next IIT Kanpur.
