There are diverse opportunities to learn new things at IITK
There are good sports and extra curricular facilities as well.

Dislikes

Almost everyone here is smart resulting in too much competition.
Sometimes the results of certain club activities are biased.

Admission:

To take admission in IITK, one must clear JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced with a decent rank. The candidate must also have 75% (65% for SC/ST) in 12th boards examination or be in the top 20 percentile of the board . There is a different cutoff in JEE mains and JEE Advanced for general and reserved candidates but after admission all are treated the same.

I like the mapping of campus as every important places are nearby the hostels like lecture halls,sports area and food and snacks shop
I like that there is no restriction in girls entering boys hostel and vice versa

Outside the campus there is no place to visit as the campus location is outside the main city.
According to me the academic are tougher in iit kanpur in comparison to other iits.

The admission process was overall a good experience. All the seniors were only involved and there were no teachers involved. I found the application form in NTA website and the jee advanced website. Overall the admission process is very easy

IIT KANPUR: THE COLLEGE OF HOPES

There are a lot of trees providing us a healthy environment to live and study in.
It provides various other opportunities to shine like in sports music gaming etc.

Gender ratio is not good enough here in IIT kanpur

The eligibility of the course are the 2 exams jee mains and advanced of u clear both exams and have sufficient rank u can get admission in my course in IIT kanpur. The application forms can be found on internet. For OBC,sc/st there are reservation benefits also. The exams are held once in a year. They are quite difficult as IIT wants the best students. Improvement can be made in admission process by making it somewhat less complicated.

The academics here may be tough but they are enjoyable. Professors are good and the cources here train you to be great. They are tough but relevant
The clubs here provide great exposure to various things. There are both cultural and technology clubs

Climate is extreme. It's too cold or too hot during winters and summers.
The grading is harsh you have to work really hard to score.

I had to clear JEE exam to come here. The rank I had was 2908. I am from general category. Anyways reservations are there which can be availed. JOSAA councelling provided every single step for this. The admission is very smooth you just need to have computer

IIT Kanpur Honest review

When i visited the college for the first time a year ago, i was astonished by the beautiful campus. The campus was lush green, beautiful and drones and other technical instruments flying and what not. The hostel was also quite nice .
During my first semester, the academics was not much touch as i had heard of, it was easy and you could pass by starting to study a week before the exams. However, they became slightly tough in the second semester, but it was manageable.

There is not much but the attendance criteria in some courses.
Some professors are very intelligent but they lack the ability to teach or to convey the knowledge to the students.

The admission process is very easy. Participate in JOSAA counselling and fill in the required details . If your rank is good and satisfies the previous years cutoff, you can get admission easily. The JEE advanced which is used as an entrance test for this college is quite tough.

An overview of my college life

You can pursue anything which you like from sports to any cultural activities
IIT Kanpur has arts club, music club, aerodynamics club ,etc.

Everything here happens very quickly so you cannot settle properly
Full semester happens in about 4 months in which you have midsem and endsem exam

You will have to qualify JEE advance exam. Based on your merit you will get Aerospace branch. Reservations are there for backward classes and female students. Biweekly quiz happens and their difficulty is moderate. It should be more flexible in terms of counselling process.

There are many things in my campus to like it such as aur strip in my campus

There are no such things to dislike but yeah food quality of mess is not so good

A review of IIT Kanpur by Shamit Kamble

The mess food is really good at my hostel (Hall 2) and there are plenty of sports facilities like volleyball, badminton courts, table tennis that are available in almost all of the hostels.
There is a lot of greenery in the campus which attracts peafowls, Neelgais, etc.

The location of IIT Kanpur in Kanpur, U.P can make students who come from the metro cities feel a little isolated at times.
The academics can sometimes get very rigorous and hectic and can demand a lot of time from the students which can affect their time that is dedicated for the student clubs and other extra curriculars.

The admission process to the IITs comprises of clearing JEE Main and Advanced with a good score and then participating in the JoSAA counselling and once you have accepted a seat if you get any then you have to pay the acceptance fees and the rest is done by your institute. I belong to the SC category so I get 100% tuition fee waiver for my course.
