Entrance Preview :

IIT JEE, 150/372 IIT KANPUR is one of the most prestigious institute of the country and is one of the best IIT academic wise. Branch was opted according to my rank.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is one of the best and oldest in the country. It is a bit tough also but it cover all the required study required in the semester. So overall it is quite good. First year everyone has a same curriculum.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, our college is one of the most prestigious institute in the country so one can get internship easily. Since I am from the first year I have not applied for any internship till date.

Placement Experience :

Again, since the college is one of the best college, there are a lot of job opportunities for a student who is hardworking and studies throughout the four years of the course. Those who don't study have a bit problem during placement. So overall the placements are good. People also get 1cr pa.

College Events :

There are a lot of events and festivals celebrated throughout the year. Many cultural, sports and technical events are organised throughout the year. Inter iit and intra iit events are organised. Antaragni is the biggest cultural fest. Techkriti is the biggest technical fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is a bit complicated. Those who have parental salary less than 100000 have free tuition fees. 100000 to 600000 have to pay 66000 and those who have parental income greater than 600000 have to pay approx 250000 pa. So it's a bit a tough for those who have salary just above 600000 pa.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Since it is an IIT, a lot of scholarships are available. Tuition fee waivers, scholarship for minorities and many other scholarships are avavilable. Also loans are easily available.

Campus Life :

Campus life is awesome. You have time of your life. Gender ratio is not that good. There are almost 10 boys per girl. There are more than 60 clubs such as robotics, aeromodelling, debating clubs, dance, music, skating and many others. There are many facilities for sports. There are two gyms in the institute.

Exam Structure :

There are two main exams. Mid semester exams and end semester exams. Also quizzes are organised during the semester so that continuous evaluation of students is done. The results are relative i.e. Relative grading is there.

Admission :

Cleared IIT JEE with AIR 2951. Got admission by JOSAA. Cleared JEE Advanced that was organised on 22 May 2016. Result was announced on 12 June 2016. Then a procedure was followed on JOSAA. Further online seat allocation was followed which allotted me the seat.

Faculty :

Faculty of the college is one of the best in the world. One of the most loved professor HC Verma is also here. Also other awesome faculties are also present. But a bit of interaction is lacking during lectures. The faculty not only teaches but is also involved in many research programs.

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible for placements from the 7 th semester itself, a lot of campus placements occur here. The companies visiting are TCS, WIPRO, ACCENTURE, MOTHERSO, TALENT SURV etc.. The highest package offered was 34 LPA and the average here is 4-5 LPA. About 90 percent of students get placed here with good package. I am basically aiming for a job too after completion of the course

GLA- A College for a Great Career

Placement Experience:

Placements here are really good. Many companies and MNC's come here for placement. In Computer Science, majority of the companies are startups but mass recruiter companies like Capgemini,Accenture,Cognizant and Infosys come here. Recent highest placement in college was of 21 LPA in juspay. Capgemini hired bulk students from here 289 students were placed in the MNC in recent year.

Placements are average just like other AKTU colleges. Average package is between 4.75 LPA to 5LPA. Highest may go upto 44 LPA off campus. Median Package is around 4.25 LPA. That's not good but also not bad according to it's fees.
