Placement Experience:
Placement season at December. Many got but not all. The highest placement this year was 1.7cr. I am from civil engineering and its average package is about 18lacs also campus provides intternship opportunities also.
Likes
- the life at campus and the faculty and the fests. we get freedom to do anything we want and explore in the campus and outside even at night. the seniors are very helpful and guiding. the family culture of iit kanpur is amazing. and no ragging system.
Dislikes
- the frequent exams and the grading system is very difficult. it is very difficult to get a good cpi.
Placement Experience:
placemts are good in the campus but since i have not experienced it personally i can tell according to data that 60 to 70 percent get placed and the highest package is 4 cr and it is international by microsoft.

- i like the campus and its beauty because its a lush green campus
- i liked its fests the most its fests are amazing

- i disliked the toughness of the academics
- I disliked some professors here they teach too complicated

placements at my college is good . from 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements many companies visited this year and gave a total of aprox 950 offers in thr first phase of placements overall

- I don't liked the the mess food and it's quality
- Gender ratio is improving but still it is very less

Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester but they can get internship in 2nd year also, average package is 26 lakh , Almost 90 percent students gets placement. I want to get a nice job in my interest

- We get to enhance our real life skills by participating in fests and activities.

- Here, in iitk, hostel life is not that good.
- I really dislike absolute grading courses here in iitk.
Course Curriculum Overview:
We get branch based on the rank we get in JEE Advanced. So I got civil engineering based on my rank. Here, in iit kanpur, we have highly qualified faculties, most of which did their phds from foreign universities.

- Nothing in iitk is ti be dislike but nothing is so much good they not giving any festival holdiay
- They give ssac so much easily so control yourself

Our campus provided very good placement ratio approx 60-70% students get placement From 7th semester you are eligible for placement They have all company like Google, flipkart ,Amazon ,namora etc Their highest placement are 4cr Average are 25lakh Generally each study paln to getting placement

- This college has its own air strip which made this college separate from aal other engineering colleges

- There are some places in the campus where the light polls is not present
- The lift facility is not good of the hostels of this institute

I choose this course in this college because this is the best institute for this college. The faculty of this college is highly educated and professional. Most of the them are graduated from abroad famous universities. There was held 2 quizzes and 2 times exam

- not much to explore in iit kanpur,it's a pretty boring city.

Placement Experience:
studets become eligible for campus placements from their 7th semester,almost all big mncs visit our campus and out of almost 1200 students ,around 1050 offers were made in 2022.The highest package was 4 crore in 2021 and average package is somewhere around 15-16 lpa,almost all students get placed usually but this year due to recession the placement percentage went down a little bit but it was same for almost every college,it wasn't college specififc perse.I don't have anything on my mind about what to do after my degree here,i will just see how the life goes.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The faculty staff is good every month new innovations take place in iits. The student ratio is about 1:6 which is getting improved year by year. Quality of teaching is also at the best level. In a semester 2 exams are there mid-semester and end semester difficulty level is hard

Is IIT Guwahati becoming the next IIT Kanpur?
Both IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur are well-respected institutions, known for their high-quality education and research. Comparing the two is already justified and saying that one institution is becoming the next of the other is more so. Both institutions have their strengths and areas of expertise. Yet, if I was to choose one I would have always gone for IIT Kanpur.
Some points that favor my preference are as follows:
- The quality of coursework at IIT Kanpur is extremely challenging and will keep you on your toes always. It offers the best quality of education and you will learn much more than other IITs if you are regular to classes and take your academics seriously,
- The usual schedule of a student at IIT Kanpur is not always jammed, unlike the general opinion. The timings of the clubs align with the classes and you can take out time for both if you are good at managing your time well.
- Another challenging aspect of IIT Kanpur is its tough grading system, (10,8,6,4..) under which anything below 10 is 8. Thus you are under tremendous pressure to maintain your CGPA and is enough of a motivating factor.
Overall, even if Guwahati was to be compared to IIT Kanpur, it still has a long way to go until it becomes the next IIT Kanpur.
