- Girls to boys ratio is very less especially in branches like civil and mechanical.However, it is improving right now due to 10% reservation for girls in IITs. ~ Akaash R, B.Tech

- The things that I liked about my college is we have good social interconnection with everyone. We have many opportunities available inside our campus which helps us to have extra curricular activities.
- Also my college has a vast area so there are all the facilities available like any labs which are needed for every batch and have a football, basketball, badminton court and ground as well.
- Students can have relaxation time by involving in many activities and also the way is teaching is very nice which helps many of our seniors to conquer a good job having a good salary package.
Dislikes
- The things that I dislikes about my college is very few like there are only minimum number of classes available. We have class once or twice in a week.
- The other dislike the contacts with other department students is very less since we need travel a long distance to reach other departments.
Placement Experience:
The placements in our college is very good and having many companies which are offering high salary packages. Google,amazon, flipkart and many other higher companies have come to our college for campus placement. The students of our college are passionate and more than forty to fifty percentage of students get campus placement.

- Exams are a pain they can be more easy and short
- Hostels are not that good as they are very old
- Food is also not so good in messes they can be a lot better
Course Curriculum Overview:
Some course are very good and interesting to learn. Whereas some are not that good and not very relevant to the field that we will be working on. Some of the courses' syllabus hasn't been updated to match the current trends.

Placement Experience:
PLcaements generally start in our 7th semester in December and after we complete our 8th sem we directly join the company. Companies like Caterpillar, google, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, etc visit our campus for interviews. The highest package would go around 1.5 cr, the average lies in 16 to 10 lakhs per annum.

btech students sit for placements in 7th semester and dual degree students sit for placements in 9th semester. com panies like jaguar, mahindra etc.. last year i guess some 70-80% students are placed last year. after getting degree i might opt for higher studies or research

Many roles are avavilable at prestigious firms like TCS, Google, Microsoft the largest package costs more than 1crore, with the annual averages between INR 12 and 15 lakhs. Numerous pupils obtain positions. My goal is to work in the tech industry after graduation.

- more humidity in campus, and also some times the weather during the rainy days because of floods.
- despite having modern facilities some students may find certain aspects of campus infrastructure lacking and need of improvement.
- leading to stresses and pressure for some students competition among students for high grades internships create high pressure.

- The boys to girls ratio is very bad like only 1-3 girls only in a class of 80
- The food here can be a bit better like it's very oily and less flavour
- The language here is a big issue for most of the people coming from north or other parts of India, cause everyone almost speaks Tamil or English
Placement Experience:
IIT Madras concludes 445 offers at the end of phase 1 of the placement. 25+ offers are of more than 1+cr per anum . 15 international offers were received from four companies. Major recruiter are Microsoft, Flipkart, Bajaj, jp Morgan, Google, Samsung and many multiple national company like Amazon etc . Almost 85-90% student get placed. My plan is to get a non tech related job and then do my MBA from abroad

- I disliked the climate in chennai as if you come from telangana it takes time to adjust.
Placement Experience:
In 7th(or)8th Semester students are eligible for placements.
There are many companies around 200+ companies have came last year.
The highest package is 3 crore and the average depends on the branch you choose.
80% of them will get placements.
I am planning to keep a startup.

All the top companies that u have heard about are here like Google, Microsoft, Meta, Goldman sacs etc and they make very high offers
The highest is generally 1.5cr above and the average goes to 20 lakh generally
Around 90% of students get placed

It is a full-time degree or diploma and so it will have more value than online. But if we compare IIT Madras’ online degree or diploma with any other college’s then it is better.
The duration of the course is 3 years. The mode of training is online, the lectures are mostly recorded and partly live sessions.
Whether the course will be good or not that depends on what subject you are planning to pursue. If you opt for a subject related to technology, then it is not a good option. This is because technology cannot be learned through books or audiovisual. It requires you to be present in the field to gain experience and knowledge.

The online Data Science program at IIT Madras is a great opportunity for someone who can not attend regular college because of financial constraints, illness, or other reasons. The online BS in Data Science and Application allows students to gain knowledge of this field from one of the most reputed engineering colleges in India.
The online lectures are taught by experienced faculty members from IITM. What I found most interesting was the professors' distinct approach to teaching. The students are routinely assisted by committed and supportive staff.
