Our course curriculum is very much up to the industry expectations covering a large amount of topics in it, and our campus life is just amazing here. The academic part of the campus is good and the exams are frequently conducted to test the progress of the students we are well provided with educational sources on our campus like libraries, reading halls, etc.

I spoke to some seniors before prioritising Engineering design in my JOSAA counsilling, I was influenced by design courses, and freedom to choose between automobile, biomedical in 2nd year. commpared to other departments here, i feel my course has good enoough practicals, labs, and interesting subjects. some 7-8 students should get a TA who would help them with doubts as every student do not have courage to ask proffessor. Ina 4- 4 1/2 semester, there will two quizes and end semster examination and if one attends classes, does assignments and prepares well during exam time, the exam level would be moderate. if one procrastinates, the curriculam would feel a tough.

IIT Madras enginerring design programme offers a well-balanced mix of theoty and application. interdiscipilinary coursework and project-based learning were important considerationsin my selection. DEveloping ccritical thinking and incorporating emerging technology into the curriculum could improve it even more while adequately educatinng students for realworld applications. Exams can be difficult at times.

The engineering design curriculum at iit madras offers a balanced blend of theory and practically. Projecct-based learning and interdisciplinary coursework were key factors in my decision. while preparing well for real-world applications, integrating emerging technologies and fostering critical thinking could enhance the curriculum further. Exams are periodically challenging.

The engineering design department curriculum offers two dual degree programs leading to btech in engineering design and M tech in automotive engineering or bio-medical design with an option for the students choosen interdisciplinary m tech in robotics. the department of engineering design is the only interdsciplinary department in the country with a very specific focus on form design and functional design with domain expertise. the exams conducted in 2 semesters the difficulty level is average.

I chose this course because it has a very wide range and vast opportunities to go into. If you have any doubts regarding which stream or in which path to go I strongly recommend taking this course for sure. Faculty to Student Ratio is around 1:5. As this is the most prestigious university in India professors will need a good qualification. After the start of the academic year each semester, we have two Quizzes after a 1month gap each. It is very easy to pass those Quizzes just you need to prepare 4 days before the exam.

I chose the course because I was interested and was getting this course only. The faculty is really good they are very passionate about teaching and the student ratio is around 1:5 Most of the professors are PhD scholars and their teaching method is not bad Term exams are generally every 2 months and it is easy to pass but tough to score full marks
I chose this course because l am interested in design and I want to become the best designer in the world. In this course, we have highly qualified faculty and all of them are Ph.D. holders. I am feeling bad to say that the girl ratio compared to the boy ratio is very less. All the faculties are Ph.D. holders, and the teaching method is good. For every four months, there is an end semester it's not that much difficult to pass.
The course curriculum is so nice and lite. Everything here is well structured. The faculty-student ratio is also high. You get time in this course to explore other fields also. So the course is obviously not hectic in my opinion. Faculties are from IITs and also from international colleges. They have done phD. Term exams are held monthly here. It's a little difficult to score high in these exams.
I chose this course because it was the best-ranked branch in the best college in India. My batch strength is 73 and there are 5 subjects per semester, so there are 5 faculties for 73 students. So, the Ratio is 5:73. Some faculties are researchers in their fields, some are themselves IITM qualified. Their teaching methodology is quite professional. They try to teach students to their level of research, if they are discussing a topic, they will cover it as far as they know about that. The end sem exams were on time and offline. It was quite average and passing it was not tough as I had already read all the topics taught in class.
The engineering design department at IIT Madras is the newest department on campus. If you're interested in pursuing design-oriented courses closely related to mechanical engineering, this department is worth considering. The dual degree program in Engineering design has a good scope for campus placements, which are comparable to placements in the mechanical engineering department.
Although there are not many seats available for undergraduates, it's surprising to note that the department closes at lower ranks in JEE than other departments such as Civil engineering and Chemical engineering. The engineering design department also offers better core job packages than the aforementioned departments.
One of the advantages of being a new department is that the engineering design department boasts great infrastructure and classrooms, which are well-maintained compared to other older buildings on campus.
So if you're looking for a new and exciting department with promising career prospects, the engineering design department at IIT Madras might be the perfect fit for you
Both the Electrical Engineering program at IIT Mandi and the Engineering Design program at IIT Madras are well-regarded programs and have their unique strengths and weaknesses. The better program for a Keralite can be determined by comparing important factors like the curriculum, faculty, research opportunities, and job prospects
From the options you have mentioned, I assume you prefer convenience over academic quality. However, it’s better to look at the bigger picture and focus on the branches more than the institute. To strive for the best, one has to come out of their comfort zone so that only one can grow and reach new heights.
In order to determine the right branch, research on the respective branches and the job opportunities offered by each. I am sure one or the other branch will intrigue you and trust me that will be the right one for you irrespective of how many Km you have to travel to reach there.
Ultimately, the decision of which program is better for a Keralite will depend on the individual's interests, goals, and career aspirations. It would be best to speak with current students, faculty, and alumni of both programs and gather as much information as possible in order to make an informed decision.
