The professors are well educated and highly experienced and curriculum are designed in great flexibility which allows us to take courses from other departments as well.
The freedom offered to sudents is incomparable to other colleges.There is no entry/exit time for hostel and for campus, so we can go out whenever we want without asking any permission. And food courts/canteen are open 24/7.

Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is very less especially in branches like civil and mechanical.However, it is improving right now due to 10% reservation for girls in IITs.
Mess food are not as good as compared to other IITs.However, there are plenty of canteens within campus.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am very interested and great passion for evolving field of electronics and circuits which had and will have a huge impact on our daily lives. I am curious about what the future holds and how technology will continue to shape our lives and I want to be a part of this journey. Faculty: student ratio is about 1:10.Electrical department has the highest number of faculty in the institute and the most funded for research and innovation. Almost all professors in electrical engg. department have done their master's or Ph.D. in the USA.

Class Size : 85Course Fees : INR 170000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, Texas Instruments, Wipro, Optiver, Goldman Sachs, Nvidia, Morgan Stanley, etc, offered 778 intern offers. Most students get into jobs with a pre-placement offer from these companies. The median stipend for Engineering& Technology is 40,000 Rs.and 80,000Rs. for IT &Software development. It varies greatly depending on the department.

Placement Experience :

Placement is an important part of every student in college life. From 6th semester onwards, students are eligible for placements. In the 2022-2023 season, there were 445 offers and 407 PPOs.Also, there were 15 international offers. Out of these, 25 offers were more than 1 Cr per annum. A total of 480+ companies visited IIT M. Companies such as Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Texas Instruments, Bajaj auto, Qualcomm, Samsung, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs offered job positions.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Course fees are around 85000Rs. per semester and hostel&mess fess is 35000Rs which may be subject to change. If family income is less than 1 lakh Rs. per year, then full concession of course fees is availed. Same for SC/ST students. There are plenty of scholarships that can be availed. Some are based on your GPA score and many are based on your family income per year.

Campus Life :

Saarang is the annual cultural festival of IIT M held in the month of January for 5 days attracting a crowd of 80000+ people across India. It is the largest student-run cultural fest in India. Shaastra is the technical fest of IIT M held in January every year. It showcases various tech projects and conducts science and tech competitions, summits, lectures, and workshops. All classrooms are equipped with projectors and some have AC installed.

Hostel Facilities :

IIT M has 16 male hostels and 6 feamle hostels. Each hostel has 24 hours Hot water supply both for drinking and bathing. Each hostel is equipped with many sports facilities like badminton courts. Some have an in-built mess and cafe. For freshers, it is a triple sharing room and from 2nd year onwards, it is a double-sharing. AC facility is not provided. Each room has a high-speed LAN or WiFi connection.

Hostel Fee : INR 75000 per year

Admission :

For securing a B.Tech seat in any IIT, it is mandatory to clear CBSE 12th board exam with 75% marks or any other equivalent state board exams, JEE Mains and JEE advanced, which is considered the toughest entrance exam in India. JEE advanced exam is usually conducted on the first Sunday of June month and applications are released one month prior. The application fee is 3000Rs. for General and OBC and 1500Rs. for SC/ST/Female students. It can be applied only by the top 1,50,000 who cleared JEE Mains.

Best college for engineering

Placement Experience:

80 percentage of the students got the placements at the end o their bachelor, if we don't have backlogs means they definitely provide placements to each and every student in their college. Mostly based on ours performance.

Great college low influence

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because i had more interest in computer field and i wanted to learn and gain more knowlege in the field of computer science.Here in this college there are very minimun students and staff compared to othe colleges.In this college the faculty members are well qualified.The exam were conducted in very strict manner and it was not an easy job to get pass in the examinations.

Placements are allowed for third and final years students mostly students are got placed with 2+ jobs. There are more than 25 companies visiting our college for placements. The highest package is 8,00,000 and a minimum of 4,00,000.
