What are the scholarship provisions offered for NERIST admission in 2025?

NERIST offers merit-based scholarships to economically backward students. Research scholarships, GATE scholarships, and other government schemes are available as well.GATE Scholarship: Students with a masters degree and a valid GATE score enrolling for M.Tech programs at NERIST are eligible for this scholarship. A cash scholarship of INR 12,400 per month under the GATE scholarship is given to students.Ph.D scholars at NERIST are eligible to get a stipend/scholarship benefit of INR 28,000 per month upon selection.Students who are pursuing a diploma or bachelors degree at NERIST can apply for the studentship. A reward of INR 800 per month is provided as a benefit of studentship.

NERIST provides hostel accommodation to both boys and girls. A total of 10 hostels is distributed amongst students. 8 boys and 2 girls hostel with food, and all facilities and amenities are provided.

Very few students get placement in my college. Students from 6 semester are eligible for campus placement. NEEPCO and OIL are the one who frequently visit NERIST with placement offers. A minimum of 7.5 CGPA is needed for placement offers.

NERIST Review: The Ground Reality

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is pretty average as most of the core companies have not visited the college for more than two times. Companies like OIL, PGCL, ONGC, etc have visited the college very few times and come after a gap of 2-3 years. Moreover, they choose only 1-2 students from each department. Tech companies like Tech mahindra, cognizant, etc come to the college but offer pretty low packages of just 4-6 LPA.
