NERIST Review: The Ground Reality

I liked the overall affordability of the college as the yearly fees is just around rupees 16 thousand.
I liked the the environment of the campus as it surrounded by green himalayan foothills and situated in an urban area with good facilities like shops and restaurants.

Dislikes

I disliked the faculty of the college as most of the professors are old aged and lack the ability to teach students in a modern way.
I did not like the placement facilities of my college as there are absolutely zero big companies that come here for campus placements.

Hostel Facilities:

Hostels are very average in the college and are in dire need of renovation and maintenance. Most of the hostels are atleast 30 years old and are starting to crumble down and crying for maintenance. The hostels provide good food but for vegetarians, the options are limited and lack good taste. The hostels can be improved a lot.

Likes

Teachers are friendly and easily approachable.
I like the campus. The campus is vast and covers an area of 513 acres.

Dislikes

Some class room has become old, dusty and stuffy.
Lack of equipment in laboratories and old machinary equipments

Hostel Facilities:

One thing that need improvement in NERIST is hostel Hostel is old and the strength of the building is degrading In one room two person is alloted so two table, two drawer to put cloths and two bed are provied Hostel food is sometime good sometime bad Non vag and vag are available in the menu Timetable: Break fast at 7 am Lunch at 12pm Diner at 7pm

A lot more extra curricular is being practiced here
No transport facilities are provided nowadays

Hostel Facilities:

Everything is perfect in our hostel. Double rooms are mainly provided here, you can also opt for single or triple rooms. With 24×7 wifi connection. The bathrooms are clean and hygienic. The menu is good as well as provides every kind of nutrition to the student.

Hostel Facilities:

We get unlimited free WiFi throughout the year, though we have restrictions in it as it is being continuously monitored to prevent misuse of it. The hostel is even free as we don't have to pay for it, we just have to pay for the food, which is also less as we have to pay only 15000 for a semester in which we get non veg daily.

The Environment and roads are good, a good number of trees are around which is good for health
The quality of classroom is good and clean

Dislikes

The poor quality of labs and equipment available for experiment
The Providence of campus placement, scholarship and internship.

Hostel Facilities:

2 students are being accomodate in one room with one bed, table and chair for each student. The meal quality is very much poor, in breakfast we get puri or Maggie whose quality is very oily, in lunch the dal is horrible, in dinner we get chicken or omlet someday, which quite edible. Registration is done during the time of academic admission with a fees of around 15000 for each semester. It's F block, Nerist

Likes

The newly built football ground with artificial grass.
The bus facility provided by the institution.

Dislikes

There is no drinking water in college areas.
The old building should be re-new and colour them.

Hostel Facilities:

The hostel has every facility including wifi facilities for every student of the hostel. The food provided by the hostel is also find and we can enjoy it. There is a cooler in every hostel for drinking water and running water tap for 24 hours.

The faculties are very good and supportive. They help us us even in our silliest doubts and teaches us very well.

Dislikes

There is nothing that i don't like about our college

Hostel Facilities:

Since our college is residential, all the students stay in hostel. The hostel facilities are good. There is electricity available for 24x7 . There is also.wifi available. There is also water available for 24x7. Though i should say sometimes it is very dirty. The furnitures are good too

College fees is very less. Mess fee is very less.
College provide good opportunity for players who want to make their carrier in sports

Dislikes

Hostel infrastructure is poor. Need some improvement
Some maintainance is required in labs and workshops

Hostel Facilities:

First year students ie freshers is provided new hostel where only freshers are lived and after 1 year of completion they are shifted to different block . There are 6 blocks .Hostel fee is negligible only we have to pay mess fee that is 15k per semester

Likes

The environment, nature of people, availability of guidance and people who wants to know how you think.
My room, library the books availability and the peaceful cubicles in the library.

Dislikes

The mess food, the hygiene there and the water. Girls hostel time restriction i.e., 7 p.m.
Bathing water is quite dirty and my room is just so damp.

Hostel Facilities:

We stay 2 people in a room and we are provided with a cupboard, a table , a chair and a bed each student ...other than these everything has to be brought by the individual. I have good experience as a student, hostel resident but recently our hostel faced quite a lot of theft complaints and the food quality is somewhere deteriorating as time is passing

Different fest in different culture by Different unions
Environment ( Green and clean ) Nature is good

Dislikes

Maintenance is not up to point. Workshop equipment is not up to mark
Water problems. Beacause of hill area it occurs regulary.

Hostel Facilities:

Room facility includes : 2 bed , 2 tables ,2 chairs and cupboard for keeping belongings. Meals include both veg and non veg like chicken egg ,fish and green vegetables. Rice +dal+ vegetables are given everyday as the lunch .
