Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, was established in 2006 and is a centrally funded institute under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. It is recognized by the UGC and AICTE. CIT Kokrajhar Ranking by NIRF was 251st out of 300 engineering colleges in 2021.

CIT Kokrajhar offers BTech as its flagship program. To be eligible for admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 (40% in the case of the reserved categories) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. CIT Kokrajhar Application Process 2025

For BTech admissions at IIT Jammu, candidates first must appear for the JEE Mains exam. The application process for JEE Mains is-

Visit the official website of JEE Main.
Register for the online application form.
Make a note of the system-generated application number.
Create a password.
Log in again and fill out the form.
Upload scanned images of photographs and a signature.
A fee of 650 INR (325 INR for reserved categories) will be charged. It is to be paid through a Debit card, a Credit card, Net banking, UPI, or Paytm.
Keep a printout of the application form for future use.

After this, the candidate should appear for the JoSAA counselling. The JoSAA Counselling has 6 rounds.

Visit josaa.nic.in and register using your JEE Main application number and password.
Select the course and preference in the drop-down menu.
JoSAA conducts 6 rounds of counselling based on the JEE Main Ranks.
Accept the seat through fee payment and document submission.

For BTech (without JEE Main), BDes, and other courses, the CITKEE exam is accepted. To apply for CITKEE 2025, the candidates must fill out the application form online.

"My college is best college".

I like the greenery in our college because i live in Hyderabad Telangana in our city they is no greenery in our surrounding so i like this college for this reason and its a good college and it have so many plays which is usefull to us.
I like the teachers of this college because they are full knowledge persons,they are so disipilened also if we don't have attendence more than 75 percentage they dont allow to write exam.
I like the peace in this college because i am from Hyderabad so they is so much of traffic in our roads,in our college there is no disturbance everywhere is peace here.

Dislikes

I dont like my friends who are here in this college because they don't help me in any work.
I don't the hostle food because they is no protein and no taste in this food.
i don't like the rule of my college like 75 percentage attandance i came here by CSAB conselling here it the rule of 75 percent attandence effect me.

I came here by qualifing Jee mains exam so i paid 37000rs to csab a couselling for B.TECH students.Fees for the complete course is around 200000 for four years for betch here.for other category students like oc,bc ect. they will more fees.They don't take fees for for any admission or lab purpose,if we get late for paying some other fees they will take fines for late payment.yes they is a scholarship for students in our college around 80000 per year.

I have good experience in our college and in every semister they is some technical festivals,like techracy,extrecy,yes there is a library in our college and in that library the are lots of books.yes in our class we have water facilty,we have normal sports club in our college.our students run college accounts in instagram,facebook.

In our hostle room we have bed,one study table,one cubboard one chair ect.The review of the hostle food is 4 stars in that food we dont have taste,we dont have sufficirnt protien.The college will allout the room and give the room number.out side our university we have some private hostles.

There are so many facultys in our college around 200 to 250,and the relation between student and faculty memberts is so good they talk nicely they help students if they have any doughts.Personally I like the faculty of physics in our college, they are in friendly manner.I dont like my maths faculty for some reasons.There are semister exam in our college and the exam are easy and in every exam some some students will fail.

Why student choose the campus

I choose this college because this college is central and i will get good knowledge and the faculty bof this college is from other states so i choose this college.I got in other course in other college so i rejected that colleges,i don't get any rejection from other colleges.If we will pay fees of our semister they will be included all fees. My admission experience is good.

i don't like the rule of my college like 75 percentage attandance i came here by CSAB conselling here it the rule of 75 percent attandence effect me.
I dont like my friends who are here in this college because they don't help me in any work.

Likes

The best things I like about this colleges is we get a huge campus
Thirdly we get nice library with more than lakhs of books and journals

Dislikes

The labs dose not have sufficient experimental setups for experiments

This college provides good environment for study and co curicular activities as this college is located far away from town area. For admission you neet to clear jee or CIT Entrance exam for B-Tech and for M-Tech you much clear GATE or CIT entrance

Discipline and security is a very good aspect of this institution.
Attendance is very important here . Which is great .
Location of the campus is very good for the peace,as it is not near the town nor too far .

Dislikes

Maintenance is bad .In the main gate , institutes name is also not written .
Sports infrastructure is very bad .There is no indoor stadium here . Sports equipment are also not provided regularly.We have to buy our own .No Table tennis board,no cricket ground.

Admission:

I didn't apply for any other colleges .As my sister home was near and this institution is under central government guidance,I just prefer this college only . The admission process is very simple here , a student can join the institute through jee mains,citkee or all india engineering exams . For jee mains ,the cit off for general was 82 and for citkee the cutoff for general was 150 rank. The most preferred one is citkee and the jee mains .

Developments of clubs in the campus is on rapid mode
Infrastructure is quite nice and it looks better in rainy season

Dislikes

There is no student union in the college to tackle student related matters.

Admission:

For selecting the department this college is very nice as of we can select various departments like instrumentation , food engineering technology , electronics and communication , civil engineering etc. all can the various aspects in which they are interested . Cuttoffs for the entrance exam in this college is not so high so all can aplly.

The other college are IIHM KOLKATA and I have got the college but family not supporting. The admission process is very easy first of you are coming in the jee mains and the second is college entrance exam you have pass the exam then you have got the admission

Campus Life is also good.Events of tech and cultural also happen.

Dislikes

Slow development of infrastructure ,thats all.
More sports activities should be done here.

Admission:

Other colleges I applied were NEHU and Tezpur University.I got IT branch in NEHU and Mechanical in Tezpur and CSE in CIT kokrajhar.I preferred CIT because the CSE branch is what I wanted from the beginning.Even though it's infra level is less than Tezpur University,but I didn't wanted to waste time in other branch rather than CSE .CIT compared to NEHU had better chances for CSE students.

Campus Life if so good ...It is too environmental freely

Admission:

Actually I have given JEE exam for getting admission in NIT or IIT or IIIT...But my score was not so good , so I have given direct entrance examination of CIT and got admision here through it . We can easily get admission here

The cultural nights. And the clubs which are run by the students

Admission:

I choose this college because it is near to my hometown and the fee structure is low. And my marks are not that enough to crack iits n all so i prefer to take admission to this college And the best thing is its the centrally funded government college

Likes

The infrastructure is really great. actually much better the most of the state government colleges.
The college have a local gym, which i go in. And its absolutely free of cost. There are various things to play on like basketball court, volleyball court, football field etc.

Dislikes

There are mostly tribal community in this college, which makes it very hard to develop the college.

Admission:

The eligibility of the course is 12+2 as well as 10+ The application form can be found on the official website of the college. There is a reservation system in the college. The BTR region gets about 30 % of seats. The north east people get around 50% seats and the rest of India gets 20 %. The exams are held twice in a single semester. The difficulty is moderate level. The college should take more students from JEE and it should remove the reservation system.

Based on the JEE Main closing ranks through JoSAA/CSAB for Civil Engineering (General Category, All-India quota) at CIT Kokrajhar:

2025 Round 1 closing rank: 60,500
In the preceding year (2024), the closing rank hovered around 63,302-63,539

With a rank of 400,283, it is unlikely you'll secure admission in the Civil Engineering branch at CIT Kokrajhar via CSAB counselling, since the cutoff ranks are in the 60,000 range

Admission to B.Des course is done based on CITBDAT exam followed by counselling and you must have passed 12^th with 50% or more to be eligible for admission to CIT Kokrajhar.
