Iith provides you teaching from the best teachers who are well qualified.
Students in our college gets internship opportunities in their third year.if they performed well in their internship,the company provides preplacement offers before completing their engineering.many best companies like google, microsoft, wipro, tcs, etc come to our college to hire students.
Hostels are great here, there are groups of 6 or 8 rooms forming one pod which helps in mingling better with other students.

Dislikes

I disliked the professor very much, the are very bad in teaching
Sometimes the faculty of my department (mathematics) were hard to deal with.
The professors are two strict not even giving exam paper in advanced range.

Sports Complex with high class facilities
Night life inside the huge campus and hanging out with friends

Nothing really if one finds a good set of vibe-matching friends around one.

The campus placements are excellent, with the number of companies visiting increasing each year. For quant roles, we have top firms like Goldman Sachs, Optiver, and Quadeye, while for software, the opportunities are vast, with companies like Apple, Google, and Amazon regularly visiting. For AI roles, companies such as Amex, KLA, and Thomson recruit annually, offering pre-placement offers (PPO) in the range of 50-60 LPA. The eligibility criteria generally require no active backlogs.The average package for top branches is around 30 LPA.

I'll say there is nothing I dislike about here. Just the ratio of girl to boy lol.

Placement Experience:

They are really great. Companies visiting have been increasing as the years pass. We have companies like gs,optiver,quadeye etc for quant roles. For software there are endless companies. Apple also has visited our campus. Google, Amazon are regular companies here. For AI roles, Amex, KLA, Thomson and many more visit our campus every year with a very good ppo of around 50-60 lpa. Eligibility criteria is mostly no active backlogs. Placement rate for AI is around 96%. For CS and related dept. It's around 80-90%. Avg. Package is 30lpa for top branches. I'll be pursuing master in the field of AI after getting my degree.

Campus placements of my college are very good. We have got a very good alumuni network which connects students with very good companies and our college has also collaborated with Japan and Taiwan for placements and jobs

Memories in Making Ft. IIT Hyderabad

Likes

The campus environment is very vibrant and you will see a lot of intellectual people around you.
Their are a lot a clubs and activities going around in the campus , so you can join any club according to your interest
The hostels and sports facilities are too good. The architecture too is very futuristic. Food in the mess is also very hygienic

Dislikes

The greenery in the campus is little less compared to other IITs.
The courses are a bit hectic you may feel.
This IIT is a bit far from main city, so to go into station or airport you have to leave campus with taking some time in hand.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum includes a mix of theoretical problems and practical appliances with courses like C programming and sustainable development. College authority emphasizes on internships, and real-life industry projects ensuring students gain real-world experience. There is a large range of electives and options to specialize in different fields such as Water resources engg, Traffic engg, Airport and railway Engg. The civil engineering course is a combination of regular class exams and major exams. Its becomes a bit difficult if anyone opts for a double major and a double minor. The exam dates are sufficiently spaced out so that students can be well prepared. Attending the lectures makes the exams a bit easier and we get detailed reviews on the ERP web.

IITH will be a better place for you to grow your technical skills.

The studies at IITH are really good when compared to many colleges outside in the country. And the curriculum is flexible for students of there won interest to learn other courses than of their particular branch.
The Hostels are really good especially the single rooms which are given form the second year are really super. And the wash rooms are also good.
Food is also really good compared to all the colleges in India , they will also provide some extra's (like you have to pay money on the spot to get those and the cost is also cheep if you feel like bored by eating the regular food)

Dislikes

Almost 80 to 90 % of the construction is completed, in the remaining 10 to 20% is left.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are allowed for the placements. A total of 335 companies visited the campus and 176 offers like JP Morgan, IBM , Capgemini , Microsoft , Google , Flipkart , Axtria ,Bajaj Auto , BHEL , NVIDIA ...... For Compute Science this highest package offered is 90,00,000/- and average is 29,68,000/- Nearly 70 to 80% of students got placed Building my own startup.

IITH in a Nutshell (the Goods and the Bads)

Likes

The campus is very much explorable and there are a lot of things to do on campus when bored.
The facility of having availability of food whenever we are hungry is awesome it is almost round the clock.
Hostel rooms are very nice to hangout with people as they provide you with personal space as well as the privacy required.

Dislikes

Fractal Academics are something i disliked due to the fact that increases the frequency at which we take exams and it feels like we are writing exams very 15 days or so.
The mess food is a bit repetitive and would love to have some kind of variation in it.
Sometimes it felt like our needs were ignored when put against what the officials wanted to be done,

Placement Experience:

The campus plcaements are very good even after considering the present recession situation. 22 lpa on averagei would say not sure but the highest was 90 LPA domestic and thats pretty good considering IITH to be a 2nd Tier IIT.

We will get more exposure with the Trending technologies. The state of the art technologies can be learned with the interest.
The class timings are feasible, so that we can do interested work
There are n clubs where we can join with our interest and can make a network with same mindset people.

Dislikes

The north people domination will be more compared to south.
The food is average quality. At some days it is nice.
As institute is still developing the area losses greenary and looks like a desert.

Placement Experience:

Usually the college placements are good here for Btech and Mtech. But due too recession placements are effected for 2024 batch. The hiring is less but the package offered was more. The CGPA eligibility is worse as it need to be minimum 8.

Placement offers are good in our college.Highest is 63.78lpa and average is 20.07lpa with 335 companies participation and 621offers.Placement rate is74.90percentage. My plans after getting a degree is to get a job with good package.

The dream college(IITH) - A honest review

Firstly coming to infrastructure advanced Japan technology is inbuilt in every building, Radiant cooling facilities, modern architecture, especially library was simply superb,
Healthy campus environment. 24×7 security services throughout the campus and medical services. Medicines and doctor consultation are budget friendly
Student friendly faculty, high knowledge staff graduated from various iits, mit and other top universities. Practical knowledge and well structured courses with assignments.

Dislikes

Some courses need more credits. More time need to be spent on important topics such as DSA etc. Programming languages need to be taught.
Fests are not upto mark as it is one of high rated campus fest should also be in that range but it was not as expected.
Sometimes hostel services and bus services are poor but not every time. Mess food on some days need to be improved but it is okay.

Placement Experience:

Students from 4th year btech are mostly preferred for placements and mtech, phD students are also given importance. Many companies visit campus during placement drive , keep some exams and take interviews. At an average nearly all students get in the range 20-50 lakhs. Few get above 50 lakhs. Companies from Japan, Microsoft, Nvidia, Infosys etc visit. Nearly 350+ students got placements in 2023. After getting my degree I need to get in placements due to some financial problems later on I want to do something better.

Although every department of IIT Hyderabad offers top-notch education, it’s the EE department that steals the show. There are many unique aspects of this department that make it one of the most coveted branches of IIT Hyderabad.

The fractal academic system is a unique feature of IIT Hyderabad that sets it apart from other IITs. You have no choice but to work hard and excel in all subjects. There aren’t mids and ends in every sem instead you have monthly quizzes to evaluate you regularly.
There are many other strategies adopted to make the students work hard. For example, surprise quizzes in almost every subject are taken. These quizzes require the students to prepare before and after every class and also be regular to classes.
The EE department helps convert theory to practice through a number of projects.
