IIT Hyderabad offers a 4-year duration BTech program in 15 different specialisations. For admission to the BTech program, candidates are required to have scored at least 75% in their class 10+2 exam with PCM as a major subject. Also, students have to appear for the JEE Advanced exam and qualify with a valid rank. The seat allocations will be done by the JoSAA counselling based on the JEE Advanced rank secured by the candidtaes. IIT Hyderabad BTech Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Candidates who are seeking to get their admission to the B.Tech program are required to have passed 10+2 with PCM with at least 75% of marks. The candidate must appear in the JEE Advanced exam and score a valid percentile to qualify for the IIT Hyderabad admission. Candidates who are in the final year of their course or haven’t received their results are also eligible to apply.

Selection: On meeting the minimum eligibility criteria, and qualifying for the JEE Advanced exam, candidates must register for the JoSAA counselling. Based on the JEE Advanced rank, availability of seats, difficulty of the exam, and no. of applicants, JoSAA will release 6 rounds of cutoff which will determine the candidates’ admission to the IIT Hyderabad BTech program.

IIT Hyderabad offers three scholarships. Following are the eligibility details for these scholarships:

MCM Scholarships eligibility criteria

  • This scholarship is available for General and OBC students.
  • 25% of the students are eligible to get this award
  • Students will get exemption in their tuition fee, and INR 1,000 as scholarships
  • Parent's income of eligible students must not exceed INR 4.5 lacs for general students and INR 6 lacs for OBC students
  • Students must have a CGPA of 6.0

Institute SC/ST Scholarships eligibility criteria

  • This scholarship is available to all the SC and ST students
  • The students will be rewarded with free mess and boarding (to the extent collected) and pocket money of INR 250 per month

  • The free studentship will be rewarded to 10% of the students.
