Engineering Physics provides a flexible curriculum with courses from Theoretical and Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. The branch is open for placements of most of the companies and is good option for higher studies and research as well.

The course curriculam is very good. You have to involve into the project that are going to give you hands on experience and further help in placements and other courses are also very good to enhance your knowlege to compete with foreign candidates. Faculties are post doc and very good. Exam timelines are flexible and only internal.

Engineering Physics at IITH was not my primary choice, but a choice I made after careful consideration of all the pros and cons. I had a keen interest in physics and IITH was closer to mt home so I decided to pursue EP. The faculty to student ratio is about 1:3 . Almost all of the faculty hold doctorates ans qualifications from many prestigious institutions across the world. IITH does not follow a term exam policy. Instead, it is upto the faculty to choose their method of evaluation. Most of the courses are easy to get a good grade, though not without some hardwork.
The course curriculum is mostly physics-oriented. It goes into depth about physical processes and how we view the world, I chose this course because I love physics, the faculty-student ratio is 1: 5, all faculty are Ph.D. and every faculty has his/her preferred method. Exams are very timely and not at all hard to pass.
The curriculum of the college is very good and the curriculum follows all the latest regulations and the quality of education is very good. The curriculum helps us to understand our topics in the border way and improve our thinking abilities. The faculty of the college is unexplainable. The faculty is highly experienced. The faculty have completed their PhD degree from the top universities. Many international faculties are also available. The guest lectures are organised on a regular basis and many international faculty visit as guest faculty which is a very good learning experience for us.
Every year fee structure might change. Different fee structures are there for different cast and lower fee for people who earn less than 5 lac per year. So please search that yourself since i do not know much.
It is difficult to determine which is better; Mechanical Engineering in IIT Hyderabad or Engineering Physics at IIT Roorkee without knowing what your expectations from the degree are and your personal preferences. Nevertheless, I am here to spill a few facts about EP at IIT Roorkee.
I would recommend you go for an easier branch that has less workload so that you can focus well on coding and get placed right after BTech in IIT.
