I choose this course(mechanical engineering) because intrest in automobiles and this course is rare and evergreen subject. The course should be both in core as well as coding side. The frequency of exams by the faculty was in moderate level.

We have fractal academics here in iith . Due to which the one credit courses will have less hours of interaction with the lecturer where as for the credit courses the interaction hours will be more it will be for the whole semester. Some faculty are good where as a few lecturers are not that good.

I would give a rating of 8 out of 10 to this couse curriculum. My decision to take this couse was mainly fueled due to my interest in cars and automobiles. I was also fascinated by the working of various mechanics. I believe that after completing this course I would be able to design engines and automobiles. The level of difficulty is medium and core codes are a bit hard

I chose this course because of my interest in this field. It is an evergreen branch among all branches. It is the college providing both mechanical and aerospace branches together in single course. In my college ,we have a good faculty :student ratio. My faculty teaching here are excellent in this subject and well qualified. They all pursued higher education in this stream from excellent universities, mainly from abroad. In our college we are having fractals type of curriculum which makes me to read and up to date with the classes. We are having a well designed curriculum with six segments for each semester. We are having best internship opportunities and faculty makes us to get hands on experience with every project in our course. Our exams will be a bit difficult but listening to our classes makes us to perform well.

The curriculum is very effective for everyone due to the fractal academic system. The courses are relevant and focus on integrated learning. The faculty too have a great idea of the subject that helps them create interest in all of us to learnt he subject. The fractal academic also makes the exams curriculum simpler and less burdenful.

I like mechanical engineering and aero engineering and aero club and department will surely be there for helping me. Faculty are all PhDs and from reputed institutes in India and US. Term exams are fairly difficult.

I selected this course because it was the best course that I was getting according to my JEE advanced rank. There are lots of faculty members who will be instructing you during this course. These members are well-educated and qualified in their respective fields.
Although both IIT Hyderabad and IIT Guwahati are excellent engineering institutes, my knowledge is limited to the BTech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Hyderabad as my sister is a recent pass out of the same.
Research: IIT Hyderabad in general and its Mechanical branch specifically focuses on invention and innovation. You will be astonished to know that currently there are more than 100 ongoing research and consultancy projects under the faculty and students. The research culture at IIT Hyderabad is stronger than many older IITs even. IIT Hyderabad is known globally for MS and Ph. Ds placements.
The new IIT tag: Being one of the new IITs, it lacks the credibility of the IIT tag. However, it’s the contrary. Being new, it guarantees better facilities and well-equipped labs. The mechanical department has been upgraded with equipment worth 70 crores over the last few years. The Institute has one of the best research environments in the country.
Culture: At IIT Hyderabad you have to learn to master balancing your extracurriculars alongside your academics. You cannot afford to lose on any kind of experience that IIT Hyderabad has to offer. Exploring everything will help you hone your talents to the fullest and identify your passions.
Placements: Here’s an amazing fact, Mechanical Engineering is the first department to have its own Training and Placement Cell at IIT Hyderabad. Moreover, the extensive contacts of the professors (under which you work or study) with industry experts, help you secure off-campus placements easily.
IIT Hyderabad offers an excellent curriculum for Mechanical Engineering.
