I liked that most of the faculty seem pretty good in their field.
Placement is good average package is almost 15 lakh per annum

Veg mess food is pathetic. Most of the times, menu is even ont followed.

Why to get IIIT UNA in 2025

Likes

the environment of the college is very good as it is near mountains in himachal pradesh so the college life is very good the college has cafeteria whose food is very cheap and now nescafe is opened one in campus and one in hostel
the college has every type of lab needed and all the essential things we need for our project devlopment and every lab has specific lab assistant that are very helpful
the campus is fully ac and all classroom and labs has fully furnished ac's and heater works in winter

Dislikes

The thing i disliked the most is that they took almost 4 months to give result as result come just before the next semster datesheet
Some faculties for subjects like mathematics and communication skills change every year as they are not permanent faculties
the college has very less gender ratio for girls as there are only 12 girls in mine year students that has almost 280 students

the placemts of my college is just average about 12 lakhs average package and 30 lakhs max this year but max is 60 lakhs p.a. from 7th sem students starts to get placements and got eligible the companies visited are amazon,flipkart , enfosys and many more'' the percentage of the students getting placed is about 80% till now my plans are to get on acmpus placement the best i can get

IIITU - Top growing IIIT

Likes

If you want to live in peaceful environment IIITU will be a heaven.
All the tourist places are nearby so you can travel the wonderful Himachal Pradesh.
Placement support is very good. Avarage around 95%.

Dislikes

Poor connectivity lies outside main city una.
Administration is not student supportive.
Facilities are not up to the mark like shopping malls.

Placement Experience:

You are given oppertunity to get placed from 7th semester. Currently the avarage package is around 9 lpa and highest is around 65 lpa. currently in final year 50% are placed. The internship is avaiable in 8th semester so there are high chance of getting ppo.

College infrastructure is very good . And it is in peaceful environment
Campus life is very good. Seniors are interactive and cooperative .
faculty is young and very interactive as compared to other colleges.

Dislikes

fees is too much high . middle class students cannot afford it.
girls to boys ratio is very low. it is 4/74
sports facility are not so good as compared to others.

Placement Experience:

From 7-8 semester students become eligible for campus placements . In 3-4 semester students can apply for interenship. Big companies like paypal has visited the campus . In 2024 highest package is about 32 lakhs. Nearly 70% students got placed this year. I want to become a good coder after getting the degree

Likes

The subjects and topics in Curriculum is very helpfull and based on present and future Demands.
The Campus life is so amazing with all sports ground.
The Hostel and Hostel rooms are very clean.

Dislikes

The Connectivity for the college is quit disappointing.
In Hostels all the rooms are three seaters accept 2-3 rooms in a Hostel.
Gym is very small in size with respect to people in the gym .

Placement Experience:

Campus offers campus Placements and internship for any year of college. Placements are good but not satisfactory at present but hope good in few years. Average package = 10,44,000/- Highest Placement = 32,00,000/-

The greenery in the campus around which makes us feel like yesss we have done something to achieve this.
The academic teachers are very polite and humble .
There are all sports facilities we need here.

Dislikes

Distance of campus from the city due to which if we need something we need go outside which is far from campus.
Much restrictions which maybe good for college perspective but feels very bad for us

Placement is very good in our college. From 6th sem Students starts getting placement offers . Companies like Amazon. Google, servicenow and much more have visited our college.highes package of our branch in year 2023-24 is 35 and average is 10.44 and median is 8 lpa. 58.62 students got placed this year .

It has gym facility which helps a lot in staying fit
College has sports facilities along with indoor sports facilities.
Coding culture is good and senior interactions are also excellent

Dislikes

We currently don't have an auditorium hall
Some faculties don't have much experience
Music and dance is room is not big enough

Location is good for exploring himachal pradesh. Nearby we can find good tourist spots.
Una is a decent place with quite atmosphere.
8th semester is completely dedicated to internship.

Dislikes

Placements are not upto the mark. They need to be better.
Faculty give grades on how they know the students. Many faculty are seen doing this.
Veg mess food is pathetic. Most of the times, menu is even ont followed.

IIIT Una, The best college under 30k rank for Engineering

Clubs( we have around 10-12 clubs and they organise at least an event every weekend)
Sports facilities are exceptional ( only con is no specific coaches,we have a pti)
Coding culture and competitiveness (students are into coding from the very first day, the cash prized competition hosted by clubs like F O.R.C.E. and aavesh promote a sense of competition)

Dislikes

Not much connectivity to the city, campus is 8km away from main city and the Una city is also not much developed, there arent many clubs or dj's, only a few that too 20 km away from the college
Very strict attendance policy, all medical leaves, family functions, personal absents etc are to be included under the 25% criteria. Though you are to be complete your left out classes after end sems, it does feel kinda hectic

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements in the 7th semester, companies like amazon, american express, Microsoft, delloit etc have visited the campus previous year, and more than 90% oftl the students have been placed. The average package for all the brances was around 14 lakhs and highest was 60 lakhs. After getting the degree my plan is to work as an analyst.

The B.Tech. placements of IIIT Una are quite good and they are growing exponentially every passing year. Referring the placement statistics of the year 2023, the average package stood at INR 15 LPA (compared to INR 12.1 LPA in 2022). The highest package offered during the placement drive 2023 was INR 46.5 LPA (on-campus) and INR 60 LPA (off-campus). Therefore, an improving trend was witnessed in the placements over the past years during IIIT Una B.Tech placements. The top recruiters are: Amazon, LinkedIn, BharatPe, Expedia, Goldman Sachs, Apache, C-DoT, Infosys, Deloitte, Jio, etc. Almost 90% students get placed in the college. The placements are coordinated by the training and placement cell of our institute, CDC (Career Development Cell). Also, there is an entire semster (6th semester) dedicated by the institute for the student internships.
