Likes

Pollution free environment around the college with very silent place and is stored in the lap of the nature. City noises are not there and temperature range between 15 to 30°C only. Also no mosquitos in the hostel
A healthy and interactive relation between juniors and seniors which helps one to socialize.
Very well qualified faculty and a lot of sports facilities are provided inside and outside the campus.

Dislikes

The quality of food (specially Roti) served in the mess and also the quantity is kept low.
Management is not good and the sports ground are not maintained and no coach is there
Need of the other buildings in the campus specially 1 Boys hostel and 1 Library.

Placement scenario of the campus, average and highest package being offered

After the 7th semester students become eligible for the campus placements. In the recent times around 50 conpanies visited the campus and 190 offers are given to the students. Highest package in the Cse is 35 lakh per annum. Average package in the Cse is 10 lakh per annum. 80 percent srudents get placed . I want to persue Mba after my degree.

Internship opportunities in the college

There are not much internships opportunities are provided by the college. Students have to get it on their own most of the time because the Placement cell is very bad. Recently college has signed an Mou with the IIT Dharwad to provide students better internship opportunities.

Students view on course curriculum

The IIIT DHARWAD follow a well new enhanced curriculum as in other iiit's . I choose this course because it specially focuses on the IT sector jobs and Coding from the very first semester unlike other nit's and iit's. Apart from it the Course curriculum is designed in such a way that in every semester apart from the core subjects a valuable life skill subject is also included such as Professional Communication which prepares students for the upcoming job interviews and other things. The course can be well completed before exams and synchronised in a good way. The course has a descent difficulty level .

What is the total fees of the course and financial aid available in the campus?

The tution fees for 1 year is around 4 lakh. So for your 4 years of Btech degree you have to pay around 16 lakh. Apart from it 40 thousand is charge as hostel fees per semester. So for a 4 year Btech degree will cost you around 20 lakh rupees including all your expenses. The tution fees is not increased every year and college also provides Education loan facility to the students with Mou with the Canara Bank. Other than that college also provides scholarship for pwd students and Sc and St students and students of the respective state according to their family income. No scholarships for the students whose parents do government jobs. No special campus employment is provided High fees is the biggest drawback of this college since facilities provided did not match with the fees taken.

Events organized, and facilities available in the campus

There area not too many fests that are being held in the institute but Habba is the main fest which is being held at a large scale. Apart from it Sangeet and Kannada fest also held in the institute. The reason for not organising fest is that institution do not provide funds . The college do not have any big library.It only has a small room for all the course textbooks which one an issue whenever he/she wants. Online Knowledge and Resources centre provide free access to a large amount of books. Classroom are well furnished and contains both white board and the led for the lectures. Nearly all sports facilities are provided but the college do not maintain the grounds of the respective sport nor they have any coach for any sports. But still students have a good track record in the inter- iiit securing overall 3rd position.

Facilities provided in the college hostel

Hostel provided to the students are very newly build and have very good furniture and good quality table and chair including the personal almirahs. Students have to broom their room on their own and common areas are cleaned by the staff. Very large washrooms are provided with good quality drinking water and bath water. A big led and table tennis is also available in the common room in the hostel. There are no mosquitos and flies in the entire hostel. The meal is provided 4 times in a day . The overall quality of the mess food is decent but the quality of the Chappati(Roti) is very bad. Also no sweet is provided except on special lunch day. Hostel fees is given through the link provided on the College site.

Students view on faculties

Most of the faculties are phd scholars from very renowned IIT's and NIT's. The faculity- to - student ratio is comparable and most of the students gets enough to time in the sessions or classrooms to interact with the faculty. Inspite of it one can approach any faculty during the college hours in their personal cabin for any type of problems related to subject. A major setback of the faculties here is they are less experienced in terms of teaching except for the Hod's and few more. Faculties also help in additional projects and hackathons conducted outside the campus and help in preparation. Also they motivate when students feel low about themselves. But there are 1 or 2 faculties which sometimes discriminate between north and south students since the college is in the south of India.

Admission Process of the college

The admission in this institution is veing held through the Josaa Counseling. One should have qualified the Jee Mains entrance examination to sit in the counselling process. Application form and the necessary details along with brochure can be found on the college site as well as the Josaa Counseling site. In first 6 rounds of Josaa one can get benefit of the their respective category (Sc , St , Obc) . In Csab rounds one get a seat on the All India Quota that is on the base of Crl rank .

Compared to all other colleges I've got this college has given me more benifits in perspective of course the fee structure and everything I've got a nit also but it is a lower branch so I've not took it as there is no scope of my future in that branch

Campus is in very small acres just 60 acres

Admission:

I got admission in IIIT manipur,but comparatively dharwad is nearest.and also best in architecture,have enough facilities,and average package. Person who qualified with jee mains percentile 95(for oc),93(bc),84(sc) are eligible and have more chances to get seat

seniors are very good ,helpful and they treat us like their small brothers and sisters. ragging is not gonna happen so dont worry
Krc which is knowledge resource centre is nice and comfortable area to study .... full air conditioned library

Dislikes

campus size : campus is very small like its only 60 acres
attendance criteria: college has 85% mandatory attendance which is problematic sometimes

Admission:

i got admissions in some private colleges and lower branches in nits like food processing etc..but i chosse iiit dwd because of iiit tag and cs related branch which is data science and artifical intelligence ...a trending branch . i couldnt cleared jee advance therefore iit rejected me admission process: 10+2 with pcm is compulsory and admission is through jee mains rank via jossa and csab counseslling

There are a lot of club workshops which are held regularly in the college.
Their is a resort in front of the college which has a swimming pool, so it is easy for students to go there and enjoy.

Dislikes

Sports infrastructure is not very good .

Admission:

The exam accepted for the college is JEE Mains, a score above 96 percentile will get you in this college. I got admission in IET Lucknow and DTU (mechanical branch) but chose this college as I wanted to purse a career in the IT sector.

As a JEE Aspirant, I also saw dreams of IIT and not of IIIT. Yes, my preparation went wrong due to some reason and couldn't get into any college other than state government college. At start of my engineering I used to regret my decision but now not at all....

You must take jee mains exams and must have around 50k rank in it to get this course. You can go for jossa or csab counseling through which you will be getting this college. Then there will be document verification and you will get the college. If you have a category then make sure to apply it in the jossa round only as in the csab round all candidates are considered general.

my college.

Likes

there are 2 120 seaters and one 240 seater for bigger classes or lectures. these are air conditioned. and well lit also.

Dislikes

initally this was a very corrupt college. but now with the new director things are actually becoming better.

Admission:

the admission took palce through JEE mains score. this college can be easliy available to students with 95 percentile or above. and even 94-93 for females due to 20 percent supernumerary this ear. the exams are conductued every 2 months and are of decent difficulty.

Yes, as final selection for PhD course will be made on the basis of the merit list released by the institute on the basis of performance in the written test and interview.

No, IIIT Dharwad doesn't provide any fee concession for SC and ST catagories students. They can avail various other Scholarships that are provided by government organisations to get reduction in fee.
