The curriculum is good. However, it can be much better. The 8th semester is completely dedicated to internship. However, CSE, starts with coding in the second semester, which is late according to most of the students. The rest of the first and second semesters have basic sciences courses. Core subject courses start from the third semester. 75% of attendance criteria are strictly followed. 2 mid-term exams are there along with 1 end sem. Weightage: 20+20+40+20.

I chose this course bcuz of the rapidly growing demand of ai and computer related technologies in today's workforce. Talking about the student to faculty ratio, its around 15:1 and most of the faculties are phd holders, leaving aside a few all the teachers have great teaching skills and actually have the desires and commitment to transfer their knowledge to the students, exams are also conducted approximately every 2 months, they are as followed, ut, ct, end sems, the ut and ct are of 8 and 20 marks so they are not that stressfull, u can score more than average ny studying the night before.

The student-to-teacher ratio stands at approximately 15:1, with a majority of teachers holding Ph.D. degrees. The faculty is supportive and proficient. IIIT Una also invites faculty for different guest lectures. The curriculum is well-designed and relevant, which makes us industry-ready. The college exams are a bit difficult, but it is easy to pass due to the average system used. The evaluation of exams is based on relative grading system which is awesome. The calendar for the academic year is always fixed and college exams include CT1, CT2 (20 marks each) and end semester examination of 100 marks.

It was better than other colleges at this rank. It has a 1:15 teacher-student ratio. Well-qualified faculty. Term exams are easy and great curriculum. yet flexibility is low and maintaining 75 % attendance is strictly applicable.

The course curriculum here is very good as it is designed very carefully about what students need for overall development and what is needed at the time of internships or placements. Faculty-student ratio is 1:15 which is very good. As the ratio is high student and teacher interaction becomes more easy. Faculty here are PhD degree holders from very esteemed Universities like IIT Bombay, PUNJAB UNIVERSITY etc. The teaching method is very good as the latest technology is used with the old chalkboard method. In a semester there are two cycle tests and two unit tests after these end semesters are held. If a student is regular in studies then there is no difficulty in passing exams with good grades.

Computer science engineering in this institute is one of the best among top institutions with a fully updated curriculum. The student-faculty ratio is 1:15 Almost 70 per cent of the teacher have their PhD from NITs and IIT The teaching method is good and satisfactory. Cycle test 1 and cycle test 2 and end sems happen. It is not that difficult to pass the exams

I chose computer science and engineering because I have an interest in learning more about technology stuff and I found this the best way to enhance and work on my likings. Faculty to student ratio is like 1 teacher for 4-5 students. All teachers here are highly qualified and their way of teaching is very good and easy to understand. Term exams are likely to be held in 2 months approx. difficulty level is not that difficult.

I have chosen this course because I am interested in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine learning. Faculty to student ratio is 1:15 The faculty are well qualified. They are more focused on practical than theoretical. Semester exam happens timely. The paper of the term exam is not so difficult.
You can join IIIT Una for CSE. It offers good academics and facilities for Computer Science. According to the recent highlights of IIIT Una placements, almost 100% of students from CSE get placed with good salary packages. The average CTC received by the students of this branch is around INR 9 LPA. Mostly SDE roles are offered in the campus drive.
If you are considering options for studying at an IIIT in India, it's important to evaluate various factors before making a decision. Here are some affirmative statements in the second person to help you understand the differences between IIIT Una and IIIT Sonepat:
IIIT Una:
IIIT Sonepat:
In conclusion, IIIT Una and IIIT Sonepat have different strengths and weaknesses, and you should carefully evaluate them based on your interests and goals. If you are looking for a well-established and reputed IIIT with excellent academic programs, faculty, and placements, IIIT Una can be a better choice.
On the other hand, if you are willing to take some risks and challenges and want to contribute to the growth and development of a new institute, IIIT Sonepat can be a viable option.
My sister studies in UIET Chandigarh, and it's an excellent institution both spatially and academically. Chandigarh is going to be one of the most flourishing IT cities in India - which enhances the scope for those students who wish to pursue a career in the field of computer science.
You may also want to focus on these when comparing both-
You can see from the table below that it has an excellent placement record as well-

Apart from this, the facilities at UIET Chandigarh are quite good if you're interested in sports, then you can join a sports club at the Punjab University and get professional guidance through a coach. Chandigarh itself is a city full of good recreational spots, you can also join different creativity clubs as well.
Currently, IIIT Una facilitates education through two temporary campuses of Dev Bhumy Group of Institutes, Himachal Pradesh and the NIT campus at Hamirpur, the main campus is still under construction and the placement is average.
The first batch of IIIT Una passed in 2018, with an average salary of INR 3-4 LPA and highest salary of INR 10-12 LPA. In 2020, 90% students were placed and the average salary increased to 8 LPA and the highest to 16 LPA, hence it is being assumed that these statistics will improve in the upcoming years to reach the level of performance of NIT Hamirpur.
For now, you'd like to know these -
It is difficult to assume anything in the case of IIIT Una, it has improved from the 2018 statistics, but it cannot be said how successful it'll be in four years' time. Whereas Thapar University is developing well as far as placements are concerned, in 2020 the highest package offered to Thapar University students was INR 39 LPA and 990+ companies made offers to them.
Firstly, you should know that IIIT UNA is a new college and although it has the IIIT tag, it hasn't been ranked by any esteemed Ranking platforms like NIRF. Its classes are also facilitated by NIT Hamirpur's faculty and the campus and faculty are nice.
As far as NSIT is concerned, it ranks #76 on the NIRF ranking portal for engineering and has a better location in Delhi than Hamirpur, because of the facilities and professional opportunities available.
Here are some more pointers to help you understand better -
Here's a table on the placement scenario-

Lastly, decide according to your future goals and whether you'd like to pursue CSE or instrumentation.
One of my friends is currently enrolled for the 2022 batch at IIIT UNA. He has completed two years already with a rank below 30,000 and he got into CSE, if you have a rank between 30-36k then you won't have many other options available.
He had the option to choose between Thapar Institute of Technology, IIIT UNA, and UIET Chandigarh, and unfortunately, the choice of IIIT UNA was a regrettable decision. Firstly it does not have a good rank; secondly, you may see why as follows-
Lastly, I'd like to highlight the placement scenario as the placement cell clearly states that they are not responsible for the placement provision. Only CSE and IT departments receive some companies, for ECE there are only coding jobs available.
So, Thapar Institute of Technology and UIET Chandigarh are much better in terms of opportunities provided, college life, and alumni support.
