Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is good. However, it can be much better. The 8th semester is completely dedicated to internship. However, CSE, starts with coding in the second semester, which is late according to most of the students. The rest of the first and second semesters have basic sciences courses. Core subject courses start from the third semester. 75% of attendance criteria are strictly followed. 2 mid-term exams are there along with 1 end sem. Weightage: 20+20+40+20.

Internships Opportunities :

The eighth semester is completely dedicated to the internship. However, very few companies visited the campus last year for internships. Many students were idle or did research internships at nearby IITs, like IIT Mandi or IIT Ropar. Also, till last year, this internship was in 6th semester.

Placement Experience :

Placements are not upto the mark. Official data of how many and which companies visited the campus is not available. The average package is around 10lpa, which is expected to increase in the subsequent years. Percentage placement exact data is again not available at the college website.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fees are okay as the institute is self-dependent. Hostels are also good, so hostel fees are also justified. The complete cost including hostel and mess fees is around 13.5 lakhs. Central and State scholarships are there, but only for reserved categories or EWS sections.

Campus Life :

Overall experience at campus life is okayish. 3 fests are there but they are help in combined mode. So, all fests over within 15 days only, the whole year only academics. All classrooms are fully AC, but hostels lack AC. sports and extra curricular activities are descent.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are good, but only 3 seater rooms are available as of now. Veg mess food is pathetic. No ac or coolers in hostels. Cleaning only on Saturday/Sunday. Washrooms are poor. In winters, hot water is not always available. Hostels are compulsory. You cannot rent any room/PG.

Admission :

Admission is through JEE MAINS. Forms are filled out at the JOSAA portal, and students have to sit for the counseling and based on their JEE RANKS, they are given college and branch. Reservation follows central government schemes.

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio is good. In every class, there are almost 70 students. So the ratio is good. Most of the current faculty members are female. So, yes better teaching ability than male teachers. But, some are for the sake of it only. Like they don't know how to teach.

Interview Experience :

No group discussion or interview was help at this college at the admission process. Admission is strictly through JOSAA. Lateral Entry is also not there. So, only preparation needed is JEE MAINS.

The placements depend upon the students knowledge and grades. And the placement percentage of college is above 75%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum InfluencesInnovative Course Structure: The curriculum is designed to integrate technical education with humanities and social sciences, ensuring a well-rounded education. Entrepreneurship Focus: The presence of the IIT Mandi Catalyst, a technology business incubator, encourages students to develop entrepreneurial skills alongside their technical education. Broader Elective Options: Some students feel that offering a wider range of elective courses would allow for more personalized and diverse learning experiences. Enhanced Practical Exposure: Increasing the number of industry visits, internships, and practical workshops could further bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications Faculty Training: While the faculty is highly qualified, regular professional development and training sessions could help them stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and technological advancements
