How much marks should I score in the BITS-HD exam (M.E. in Civil Engineering) to get an admission to BITS Pilani or Hyderabad campus?

Here are the previous years BITS HD cutoff for M.E. in Civil Engineering to get admission to BITS Pilani and Hyderabad. Should I prefer BITS-Goa or BITS-Hyderabad for an M.E. in computer science through the BITS HD exam?

For an M.E. in Computer Science, you should prefer BITS Hyderabad. The placements are slightly better for the Hyderabad campus. The city houses a lot of IT and Electronics companies, so its easier to get good exposure and placements. The recent highlights of BITS Hyderabad placement show the median CTC to be INR 12 LPA. Each year almost 95% of students get placed from the branch.

I got 350 in the BITSAT & 3606 in the JEE Advanced. I'm sure I will be getting CSE in NIT Trichy under the home state quota. Which one should I choose BITS Goa, Hyderabad, NIT Trichy, IIT Bhubaneshwar

If you are eligible for all the above-mentioned colleges then BITS Goa and NIT Trichy are two of the best options. BITS Goa offers Computer Science with a total fee of 14.7 lakhs. Last year, the college scored a placement record of above 90% with the highest CTC of 56 LPA in the CS department. The cut-off last year for CSE was 352 so you may get selected. BITS Hyderabad offers the same course with a course fee of 15.66 lakhs. The cut-off last year was 342. The IT companies offered an average salary of 14 LPA in last year’s campus placement. NIT Trichy offers CSE with a course fee of 5.72 lakhs, so there is one advantage of qualifying for an NIT in India. The cut-off rank for JEE Main lies between 280-5317 at this institute. The CSE branch had 100% placement last year with it being the highest recruiting branch for the past 3 years in the college. IIT Bhubaneswar offers CSE at a fee of 7.91 lakhs, and the JEE Advanced closing cut-off was between 1246-4068. The CSE branch had 100% placement with salaries ranging between 10-35 LPA in 2019 placement. IIT Dhanbad charges a fee of 8.91 lakhs and the cut-off for JEE Advanced rank lies from 1619-5657. In 2019 campus placement, 90% of CSE students were placed and the maximum salary offered was around 40 LPA. So after comparing all the colleges, NIT Trichy is the best option.

students can choose many different kinds of electives which are different from their main course work also.
The faculty are extremely experienced and have a proper research group under them who work as our lab teaching assistants and always are there to guide us.

Dislikes

there is nothing in particular that i disliked.

Admission:

BITS was my first preference cause it's in the city i live in and i would get to experience the hostel Life being in my own city as hostel here is mandatory. Everyone needs to write BITSAT for admission.

BITS PILANI HYDERABAD CAMPUS

Greenery . There are trees and flower plants all over the campus and are well mainained.
Animals in campus. Dogs and cats live along us and are vaccinated and cared for.

No accomodation facility for parents in campus.
Campus is located outside city so sometimes cabs dont come in night or early morning times.

I got confirmed seat in NIT GOA CSE BTECH as well. I chose BITS HYD CS due to better brand name and better coding culture compared to the choices i had at the time. Admission is based on scores of BITSAT exam only. There is special entry for Board toppers of respective boards aswell.

Complete Overview of Bits Hyderabad

Zero percent attendance policy is really helpful if utilized properly.
There are no hostel in times so there is alot of time for you and your friends to explore

Faculties are highly qualified but still teaching quality is not very good in most cases.
Fees is on the higher side and is increasing even further.

I had a decent percentile in JEE Mains and got a decent rank in advanced too.In the Bitsat I got 278 marks. Apart from these I gave only the ComedK exam and got a good rank there (was getting Rv cse). From the jossaa counselling I got IIT BHU Mining. But considering the placements and overall environment of the colleges I chose BITS over them.

The things that made me choose bits Pilani over other other colleges are that first thing it's it has a good placement ratio. It has it has a merit merit entry. Don't know no reservation. Kota is there so every person coming into campus has come through merit only.

I gave JEE for admission in IITS, failing to secure a good branch in the top IITS, I sought the next best option which was BITS. The exam for admission in BITS is BITSAT which is similar to JEE mains in its format, but has english and oogical reasoning as additional subjects.

Why BITS Pilani is magic!

The campus has very bright minds. Because there’s no reservation, everyone here has come based purely off their academic merits.
The campus is beautiful and equipped with all necessary shops and places.

The fees is a little over the board and keeps increasing every year.
A few clubs seem pointless, while most tech clubs are amazing.

I applied to most tier 2 IITs. The reason I chose this college was the flexible curriculum they have. 0% attendance policy along with the flexibility of making your own time table makes it easier for students to find their own interests and excel in them. BITSAT is the way to get into BITS, unless you are a stateboard topper. The cutoff is around 230/360 marks. The exam level is near to JEE Mains. The admission process is handled by students and is very smooth.

Campus life is very good. Beautiful campus and plenty of eateries.
Classrooms are well equipped with projectors and all classrooms have centralized AC

There are alot of dogs on campus that people may not usually like

I could get into several Nits based on my jee mains score, but I got into Bits since its better. I had also applied to IIST since I cleared Jee advanced but missed the seat by 1 person. One has to clear the Bitsat examination to get admitted into bits

The campus is absolutely gorgeous, lots of greenery, the trees and flowers are maintained well. There are many food outlets and the mess food is top quality. Hostels all have volleyball courts, TT tables and TVs to watch sports with your friends.
Academic freedom. We have a zero percent attendance policy here at BITS, this allows students to pursue their passions without being restricted by the college. This has fostered a entrepreneurial culture. Lecturers are very good and give guidance

Since our campus is so huge. It takes a while to go from hostels to academic block then to mess or to a food outlet. There are no public transportation methods like a bus so this could be worked on.

I had newer IITs' electrical branches and older IITs' bad branches like manufacturing or biotechnology. Considering the proximity of BITS Hyderabad and its incredible placements I chose this college. I got IIT Bhubaneshwar Bio-technology but rejected it and chose EEE at BITS. You have to have 75% or more in your 12th boards or else you're not eligible. There is only one exam and that is BITSAT(unless you have a passport from another country). There are no reservations and the cutoffs are extremely competitive.

The sports clubs like badminton volleyball basketball and more.
The fields and grounds and the greenery around the campus.

The mess food which does and have spice and salt and are only sweet or tasteless.
The distance that we have to walk to go to academic blocks

I choose this collage because iam a person of general category and I didn't get nice and the seat I liked even though I got a nice marks so while compared to other bits Pilani is wonderful and almost equal to nits and some iits so I think it would be better to choose this collage. And the admission is through the score of BITSAT exam.
