Which is a better option, EEE at IIT Dharwad, EC at BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus, EnI at BITS Pilani campus or ISE at RVCE?

IIT Dharwad is a recently established institute that attracts fewer companies and has a small alumni pool. On the other hand, BITS Pilani has graduated more than 50 batches. The best option would be to take ECE in BITS Hyderabad or ENI in BITS Pilani. The reason I am against you joining a new IIT is that these IITs are not well-known among big companies and some recruiters don’t even consider them worthy of visiting. They know that these IITs can never be at par with the old ones. So it’s better to look beyond the IIT tag and go for BITS Pilani, an excellent choice indeed!

Fees and Financial Aid:

The year-wise fees I have to pay per year are approximately 6Lakhs and come up to 24Lakhs for a single degree and 30Lakhs for a dual degree. per semester it is about 2.25L for tution, 10K for hostel, 20k for mess and others are misc. The scollership is only for the highest scorrers on campus who get upto 75% scollership.and for Board toppers.

Fees is high and is increasing every year.

I started with paying 200000 per semester but each year it went on increasing right now I am paying some 300000 in my 5th year first semester . It is increasing per semester by some percent as per inflation.

Complete Overview of Bits Hyderabad

The semester fee for each sem was around 300000 and combined with hostel fees and mess fees and everything else the overall fee was about 2500000.There are scholarships like Merit Scholarship i.e you get 40 percent or 100 percent tution fee waiver depending on your CGPA(>9.2 required). MCN scholarship is also there which you get if family income is less than about 13 lakhs. You just have to keep your CG above 6. Roughly 6-7.5 is 25% , 7.5-8.5 is 40 percent and above that is 80 percent.

BITS PILANI - Its Magic

Tution fees increse 8-10% every year and fees is very high in bits pilani genrally approx 6-7lakhs per year . Scholarships are there for the ones whose parents income is less that 12lpa called MCN and second ones who score generally 9.5+ cgpa.

there are 2 types of scholarships, one is merit scholarship and other is merit cum need scholarship. the former is completely based on the student's performance in academics, but the later is dependent on parents income along with students performance. There is a bank associated with the college which provides education loans to students.
