- Largest Campus around 2100 acres, with greenary through out the whole campus. Even in the day of scorching heat, the campus roads are covered by a lot of trees on both sides.
- Culturally, Technologically well-cultured institute. Also in the field of sports, the students show their amazing talent. Every year in Inter IIT competitions, our institute stays within top 3 positions in all - Sports, Cultural, Technology.
Dislikes
- Nowadays, senior-junior bonding is getting decreased compared to earlier times beacuse of less interaction.
Course Curriculum Overview:
At 12th level, I was a NEET aspirant student. But during the lockdown, soon I changed my mind and started to prepare for engineering and I qualified JEE advanced in my first attempt. I searched from the database that which branches are coming in my rank and found Biotechnology. This topic was my favourite in Biology during class 12. I didn't think twice and took admission in the branch after counselling. The curriculum is structured so well. A first year student reads same thing with his batchmates irrespective of branch. From second year onwards, Department curriculum starts. It also varies in various topics and fields in Biotechnology. Besides, the feature of Breadth Elective subject allows one student to take any subject from any department and explore interdisciplinary study. Sometimes, there is a high number of credits in one semester in some departments. If it can be adjuged in new curriculum, it will be helpful.

- The campus is the biggest in all over India with 2200 acres.
- Most important are the networks and connection I made helped me a lot in my placements and internship
Dislikes
- The area is very remote it is not easy to get things urgently
- The weather is the worse especially in summers due to humidity and 42 degrees heat
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is still developing in a lot of aspects. Some courses are pretty good for the real world while some are just boring and useless. The teaching methods are advanced and application based with labs for each subject. Exams are twice per semester with class tests in between depending upon the professor.

- I like campus. Very green and full of trees plants.
- And offcourse the fest in my college are amazing.
Dislikes
- I think there should be a big city near college.
- It's very far from my home. I have to travel 2000km.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum of my course is very good. But I personally don't want to do this course but I have to do it. But it's very nice course. Exams are very taken frequently. Like mid sem exams then tests and lab test also.

- Greenary and fresh air and water , cleanliness makes our mind fresh.
- Most opportunities and almost all course with highest seats are available in IIT KGP
Dislikes
- Sometimes ,i feel that i am confined to this iit since Kharagpur has only iit which is fascinating
Course Curriculum Overview:
The first year is common for btech students .My first semester was majorly chemistry ,programming language C and English for communication.In 2nd semester,we have electrical ,mechanical engineering and environmental.
Likes
- I liked here the campus and the facilities of sports and the environment here and also there are a lot of societies and clubs which gives us a very good environment
- and the teaching quality is also nice here
Dislikes
- i do not the like the rooms here as they are triple sharing
- i also do not like the distance from hostel to classroom complex

My course is BIOTECHNOLOGY AND BIOCHEMICAL ENGINEERING in the department of biotechnology and faculty : student ratio is 1:150 and faculty here is awesome and highly qualified and teaching method is really awesome mid term exams are very timely and they ere moderate and also very easy for rveryone for here

- The people that come here are very intellectual and a very great to work with.

- The quality of food in mess is very bad, which is not acceptable.
- The warden are always rude and the problems to fix takes a lot of time.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course because I like it very much. The faculty to student ratio must be 30 to 1. The faculty are mostly PhD pass out and they have a great teaching methods. There are two term exams in a semester and they are pretty difficult to pass but if you study regularly you can pass it easily

- Outside the campus there is no proper facilities.

I want to do engineering from one of the best collages in India.I chose IIT because it provides you a lot of opportunities in every fields.The faculties at IIT KGP is excellent and it is one of the largest IIT in terms of no of students.Ya it's tough to pass the exam but you have to study the relevant stuff to your syllabus.

- The fests are totally awesome and worth to visit

- Maintenance is still to be covered on time
- Classes are far about 2km from the hostels

- The area is a little away from the cities which makes it inaccessible but it is well connected by rail

I have intrest in biotechnology so I opted for this course. In this course we have total of around 100 students in our batch which also includes dual degree course. The faculties are highly qualified and done magnificent works in their research areas. They are ready to address any query asap. Talking about the exams the semesters are of nearly 4 months so each month we have one exam. Which have 1 mid-semester exam,1 end-semester,2 class tests
