Placement Experience:

As with other IITs placement of Iit Roorkee is just wow. Placement starts from the 7th semester of btech student. The average package is around 10-12 lacks per annum where maximums is 1.5crore. more than 200 companies including google Microsoft visits to the campus. And almost every student gets placed. In core, the average package is 8-10lacks where in noncore it is about 12 lack per annum. The highest package in India is about 50lacks

Positive remarks - IIT Roorkee is the oldest engineering college of India having some outstanding faculties, super cool seniors, an awesome college life, satisfactory placements and some great opportunities in extracurricular activities Negative remarks - It is in outskirts, no direct traveling medium from many metropolitan cities. Mess food could have been better. Curriculum can be updated

Remarks:

Your branch will not define what you can do in future. Even in chemical engineering most of the students are placed in IT companies. Campus has many groups which in which you can learn about finance and management. 35 students has qualified Google summer of code last year which is highest by any institute in india. Campus has best coding culture in any indian institute.

Remarks:

No negative remarks because I'm also the alumni of this. Positive in the sense location wise too good, 180 km from delhi, and tourist places are a night apart. Good place for both vegetarian and non- vegetarian.

I got admission to the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee by giving two exams, jee mains and jee advanced followed by counseling in which we have to fill our choices and there were 7 rounds where we were having options to freeze, float, and slide

Remarks:

Seniors are very helpful as well as professors. They help in many things. The eco-friendly environment is there. No fights are included among the students. Food quality is very good. Great facilities for sports.
