Very good placements. Over 90 percent. Avg package of Mechanical is 10 LPA in core and 15 LPA in the non-core.
The connectivity of IIT Roorkee is bad. Because there is no international airport in the range of 150 km it also affects placement. But now IIT Roorkee is developing a new campus in Noida near Delhi.
Yes it is a prestigious institute of India and everyone dreams to study here
The college provides its best in every corner of the development. One needs to try each and every opportunity.
Management is really very supportive of the students. It has a very good environment for creative minds to develop.
Best college for Engineering and hope it will be the best
As such there can't be any remark of negativity. Only the main thing is if someone allergic to lots of trees would have some problems .as the campus is very big you may get tired going from one place to another.
I think IIT Roorkee is one of the best engineering colleges in India. There is a good balance of life between academics and extracurricular. Students have the chance to find their interest here and pursue it without any problem. There are so many groups in our college and students can join them according to their interests. College management is also good. Generally, there solve the problems of the student without any delay.
My college is one of the finest technical institutes in India. And this it was selected Indias no.1 college.
I took IIT JEE in 2008 and got a rank of 3789. Being from south India, My first choice of college was IIT Madras. However, my father had connections in Roorkee where everyone said the Mechanical department was the best in terms of placement and most top salaries (oil companies) were bagged by these students. This is how I ended up here.
