The college offers various placement opportunities. Many companies come and take people. It's usually starts in the month of December in the final year. I can tell about my branch average package is 33 lakhs and about some 90 lakh is highest package. Various tech non teach companies come like Google, Microsoft, sprinkler etc The minimum salary offered is 6 lakh per annum. People can easily get placement outside college because of IIT tag.

I chose the course as i loved mathematics. And i was eligible to take this course on the basis of jee rank. The faculty student ratio is about 11.This is a top tier institute in India and hence the faculty are highly qualified with post doctorate degrees in thier respective domain from well known universities. They teach in asuch a way that ignites my curiosity in that course. We are taught some courses out of our discipline so we can explore more things.Mid sem exams are held after 2 months of starting of semester followed by end sems after other two months.quizes are held on certain dates keeping into consideration the convenience of students as well as the faculties.

You are elgible for internships from 3rd year. Placements are offered for 4th year , from 7th,8th semesters. I am a 1st year UG, as of now to provide more details , though it can be availed on college site. But I can guarantee that this college has best placement rates among all
I have discussed placement stats. As you know that IITK is a reputed college therefore many worldwide companies come here for recruitment like Google, Amazon, Facebook, Goodman Sachs, etc. Around 60 percent of total students get placed in placement. You will be eligible for placement in your 4th year. My plan takes a job as there are many opportunities but many students do research and opt for further studies.
Almost all the big companies visit our college for placements from Google to Microsoft and many more. The highest package offered last year in our college was 1.5Crs. The average package here is 12LPA.
India Institute of Technology, kanpur is one of the premier Institute in India for science and technology. It has very vast network of alumni and renowned academic programs which led me get admission into the college. Also, I was also fascinated by the campus life, which did not disappoint me.
Though JEE-ADVANCED a national eligibility test to get admission in institute of national importance.Placements in our college are excellent. There are lots of job and internship opportunities for students. CSE branch placement this year was 100%. The highest package was 1.39 crores per annum. Average package was around 25 LPA. Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and many good companies like them are our major recruiters.
Both IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur are well-respected institutions, known for their high-quality education and research. Comparing the two is already justified and saying that one institution is becoming the next of the other is more so. Both institutions have their strengths and areas of expertise. Yet, if I was to choose one I would have always gone for IIT Kanpur.
Some points that favor my preference are as follows:
Overall, even if Guwahati was to be compared to IIT Kanpur, it still has a long way to go until it becomes the next IIT Kanpur.
