Course Curriculum Overview :

We get branch based on the rank we get in JEE Advanced. So I got civil engineering based on my rank. Here, in iit kanpur, we have highly qualified faculties, most of which did their phds from foreign universities.

Class Size : 300Course Fees : INR 250000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid :

The tution fee for a semester is 1 lakh as far as we know (it could change in future, we are only first year students). Besides, we also have to pay for hostel, mess, etc which accounts for approximately 20,000 in additional.

Campus Life :

The life here at iit kanpur is much different as compared to other engineering colleges in India. The atmosphere here is very open. Most of the fests and the activities are organised by students themselves.

Admission :

To enter in iit, we have to qualify JEE Advanced and in order to sit for JEE Advanced, we need to qualify JEE Mains. Approximately 2 lakh students get selected through JEE Mains. Out of approximately 2 lakh students, 10,000 get selected through JEE Advanced.

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible for placements from the 7 th semester itself, a lot of campus placements occur here. The companies visiting are TCS, WIPRO, ACCENTURE, MOTHERSO, TALENT SURV etc.. The highest package offered was 34 LPA and the average here is 4-5 LPA. About 90 percent of students get placed here with good package. I am basically aiming for a job too after completion of the course

Placement Experience:

Placements here are really good. Many companies and MNC's come here for placement. In Computer Science, majority of the companies are startups but mass recruiter companies like Capgemini,Accenture,Cognizant and Infosys come here. Recent highest placement in college was of 21 LPA in juspay. Capgemini hired bulk students from here 289 students were placed in the MNC in recent year.
