- The campus life and eco-friendly environment.
- Only IIT where 2-wheelers is allowed. And no restriction on in-time.
Dislikes
- The weather is really hot in summers and it's very hard as there is no AC in hostels as well as in many of classrooms.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Our seniors and teachers describe us about the courses of next semester and accordingly we have to choose it. Only some courses have option in choosing them, most of them are compulsory. There are 4 exams in a year. 2 semester exams and 2 mid-semester exams. The difficulty depends on the convener but the great thing about IIT is their relative marking. So no need to take tension about exams. Notes and stuffs taught in class only comes in the exam.

- Campus life is great. There is a lot of greenery around.
- Clubs increase my interaction with students from other branches.
Dislikes
- Open campus which allows anyone to enter our campus.
- There is not a lot of hygiene in the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course because it was the best I was getting at my rank. I honestly did not have any knowledge sufficient enough to understand which branch of engineering I should opt for. Initially, I did not like my course but now as a second-year civil engineering student, I actually like what I'm studying but on the other hand but I would also not recommend to follow in my footsteps as I firmly believe that everyone has a story of their own and should carve their own paths. The curriculum is well thought of but it is old and has been continued for years despite the development around us. I think the curriculum should be updated and revised now since times have changed drastically. Improvement can be made especially in civil engineering by integrating software into civil engineering and teaching that to the students. In my first year, the exams were held frequently and were very tough to cope up with personally (covid batch). But in my second year, things have improved.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Civil Engineering is a backbone for the country's groeeth and development. Being in the age of AI, core branches would become more and more human dependent as AI can eliminate software engineering in the coming future. There is a scope of government jobs in this field. Also you can make loads of money if you start your own business. Research side in this field of study is a bit non-recommended but again one can do research on the applications of AI in this domain. The course curriculum is up to date and prepares for every challenge we may face in the long run.The exams occur twice a semester in the form of Mid-term and End-term.

- The cultural fest of IIT BHU Kashiyatra is one of the grand event in India . In this many celebrities come .It is a three day event in this many students come and many events happen.
- In IIT BHU the mess is one of the best you can get compared to different colleges. Everyday the mess menu is different.The hygiene is top notch.
Dislikes
- The IIT BHU Campus is an open campus which is a negative point because of this the traffic is very hectic.
- The roads are not upto the mark and since bikes are allowed inside campus which increases the pollution.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I wanted computer engineering but in jee advanced my rank was not that much . According to my rank I got civil engineering but now I am liking it.I think Civil is the most practical course in engineering unlike Electrical or Computer science.I suggest that in Civil engineering there should be more research so that there will be more betterment in roads or building.The exams in college are easy as they are more oriented on understanding.
Likes
- Placement is very nice with 24 lpa average and almost every students getting placed.
- There's proper greenery in campus area. Well planted trees and sampling are there with three grounds present.
Dislikes
- Campus is open campus, which means it is open to all the public which makes it very populated area and unsafe for students at all the time
- Since it is more than 100 years old, buildings are old and rusty.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is quite flexible with branch change possible after 1 semester and 2nd semester both 10% can enter a new branch and 50% can change branch from a branch. Required cpi should be more than 8 though. There are well conducted theory classes and labs to showcase how things are done in real world. Field trips are also organised for specific branches to make students experience field work.

- We have clubs, 29 sports and big playgrounds to play .
Dislikes
- Our campus is open to everyone, there is no restriction for outsiders.
- Our college is built in 20th century so that we dont have modern infrastructure, which attracts this generation students.
Course Curriculum Overview:
For my rank, I got this course. The course curriculum is well planned and it is simple for students to study as in the first year the syllabus is not that difficult and it is something more tha JEE. In our class there are 150 students. 120boys and 30girls and the boys is to girls ratio is around 4:1. The professors are very good and helpful. For every four months we will have our end semester exams. The End sem papers are very easy to pass but some what difficult to get good marks.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose civil engineering because I had an interest in the structural design of structures. I was fascinated by the idea of designing/ building high-rise towers and bridges. Now I feel very proud after designing them and watching them being approved for implementation. The faculty-student ratio is quite good and better compared to the rest of the government engineering institutes and I'll approximate it to 23% Minimum qualification is of Ph.D. and most of the professors are international Ph.D. holders. Mid-term examinations take place in the last week of Feb and last 8-10 days and end-term examinations take place in the last week of April. BHU is known for its lite academics so no such difficulty in passing exams.

- IIT Jodhpur Ranked 56th in the engineering category by NIRF in 2020.

Admission:
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- The process for admission is the same for all the IITs. Both are four-year degree programs.
- Admission in these Institutes are based on their scores in JEE Main and advanced followed by JoSAA counseling.
- Students need a 75% or above aggregate in their 10+2 exams in the science stream.
- Candidate appearing for the final examination can also apply
IIT BHU Dual Degree
- It offers a dual degree of a 5-year program in civil engineering.
- The candidate should have passed 10+2 with the Science stream
- The candidate should have scored at least 75%
- The candidate must have a valid score in JEE Advanced
Placements:
The Mechanical or Electrical Engineering course has a placement rate of almost 80 to 85 percent in all IITs.
- Every year more than 100 companies visit IITs for placement.
- Average CTC offered of IIT Bhubaneswar, Mandi, Patna, Dhanbad, or Jodhpur range between INR 12 LPA to INR 16 LPA
- Some of the top recruiters of these IITs are HPCL, Microsoft, Amazon, CodeNation, and many more.
The civil Dual-degree Program offered in IIT BHU has a placement rate of almost 74%. It is known for the best placement offers on campus.
- The average placement package offered in this program is INR 8.56 LPA, with the highest package going up to INR 1.53 crore.

Statistically, all IITs are good in terms of academics and basic knowledge but if you just want to clear IES and not particularly interested in placement then you could go for electrical or mechanical as they are 4-year Program compared to Civil dual degree which is of five years.
