Remarks :
For admission one needs to clear both JEE (MAIN) & JEE (ADVANCED). In JEE (MAINS) out of 360 marks although cutoff fluctuates, for appearing in JEE (ADVANCED) one needs to be in nearly top 20%ile. In JEE (ADVANCED) there's individual cutoffs for each of the three subjects (Maths, Physics & Chemistry) and ranklist is released based on scores and JOSAA counseling takes place for allocation of streams of engineering based on ranks.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose civil engineering because I had an interest in the structural design of structures. I was fascinated by the idea of designing/ building high-rise towers and bridges. Now I feel very proud after designing them and watching them being approved for implementation. The faculty-student ratio is quite good and better compared to the rest of the government engineering institutes and I'll approximate it to 23% Minimum qualification is of Ph.D. and most of the professors are international Ph.D. holders. Mid-term examinations take place in the last week of Feb and last 8-10 days and end-term examinations take place in the last week of April. BHU is known for its lite academics so no such difficulty in passing exams.
