Chemical Engineering course here is one of the best in India. The course structure is very balanced and well structured for real world applications. The examination frequency is twice per semester which is like once in 2 months and the questions are not at all difficult and easy to attempt. The course thought balanced can be improved by adding more specialized electives that students can choose which will increase their skillset.

Since, I am in 1st year of the college, all students of 1st year irrespective of branches , follows same curroculum. I would rate it as a decent curriculum. Some of the subjects are very important but there are some subjects also which i think is of no use like Numerical Method and Manufacturing Process.
The course of the semesters is well structured we have an overall 39 lectures per subject per semester. the faculty staff of the college is so much friendly. Samantha sir is the hod of the department of chemical engineering.
I have chosen this course because I wanted to work in the chemical industry with well-experienced people and I want to contribute good things to my country. In my opinion, chemical engineering has vast diversity and is mostly involved in our day-to-day life. About faculties- There are 52 students in our class and we have separate faculties for each subject. There are almost 8-10 faculties. Faculties are very friendly and supportive. They are like friends. Their way of teaching is also good. There are two major exams in a semester of 4 months Each at a gap of 1.5 months. And there are quizzes which are being held at a gap of 20 days. Passing a semester is quite easy. If one is good and sincere then they can pass just with class notes.
So IIT-ISM DHANBAD introduced Btech in chemical engineering in 2010. So it is still growing and developing with time. Faculties are good but you have to put your efforts at the end. We have a small batch of around 40 students in my batch. In covid time we have done classroom courses online only so I cannot give you the exact feedback of our branch faculties but they are overall ok with respect to the online system.
I am interested in the finance and management field, thus I find chemical engineering very suitable for me. The faculty to student ratio is about 1: 28. The majority of professors are holding PHD from reputed colleges of the world and very few of them owe only an MTech degree. The teaching method is currently online, Professors mainly share their PDF, and slides to study from. An explanation is average but faculty holds deep knowledge of their subject. Term exams are continuous and are of moderately difficult level, to pass, one needs to study notes thoroughly.
1. Teachers are highly qualified and teach very well, while some teachers have a bad accent so one can't understand what they really say. 2 In online mode, Quizzes are held 4 times in a semester alongwith an Endsem. 3. Professor are PHD from foreign universities and share interactive ppt and pdf to teach online. 4. Term exams are usually tough. It is hard to solve the paper and so is the passing in them.
I chose this course because I enjoy chemistry and am more comfortable with it compared to other engineering courses. The faculty-student ratio is fairly good and all faculty are experienced. The teaching is largely interactive and hence enjoyable. There are 4 quizzes and an endsem exam per semester, though in offline mode, quizzes would be replaced by a midterm exam. The endsems are fairly difficult.
The course curriculum is perfectly designed. One benefit of studying in IIT is that it gives priority to nature in its courses..like environment Education, petroleum education where u get in touch of the condition of nature. Faculty are not so much cooperating in any IITs. Generally PhD holders aur MSc teach at IITs
Course curriculum and faculties are quite nice. There is nothing to worry about. I enjoyed studying in the classroom. It was a very wonderful experience to have such an environment to study. Although there is a little bit of language problem with the students who didn't know English as fluent they can manage it with help of friends.
