Remarks :

The admission process is simple. It is done through the JoSAA portal based on JEE Advanced rank. There are 6 rounds and we can continue if we are not satisfied with allotted college. Documents and fees were to be submitted based on seat allotment.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I enjoy chemistry and am more comfortable with it compared to other engineering courses. The faculty-student ratio is fairly good and all faculty are experienced. The teaching is largely interactive and hence enjoyable. There are 4 quizzes and an endsem exam per semester, though in offline mode, quizzes would be replaced by a midterm exam. The endsems are fairly difficult.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 230000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There is a lot of internship oppurtunity, with stipend changing based on the internship. They are usually from 5h and 6th semesters for BTech courses. They also change based on the course. I have not had internships hence am unable to clarify the same.

Placement Experience :

From the 6th semester onwards students are eligible for on-campus placements. Many major companies offer placements in the college. This year's highest packages were 80 and 90 lakhs, and 94 students were placed on campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are quite high for IITs in general,but they are still less than that of private colleges. And due to the increase in job opportunities, the issue of affordability is less as there is a better chance of a better future.

Campus Life :

There are various fests, including Srijan, Basant, both being cultural fests and the tech fest Hackathon. There are various clubs that allow for people of all interests to join in on extra curicular activities,be it arts, drama, reading, music, etc. The college also houses one of Indias largest libraries.

Hostel Facilities :

We have not been able to visit hostels yet, though from what we have heard and seen in videos, hostel facilities are fairly good. The hostel rooms are for 2 people, having necessary requirements like table shelf and beds. The mess provides separate veg and nonveg. The fees is also reasonable.

Internship offers start for students after the 4th semester and placement starts after 6th semester. You may also get a Pre-placement offer from the company where you intern. Last year, the highest CTC offered for CSE was 55.51 LPA with a 91% placement ratio.

All you need to know about BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

The placements are declining day by day. In 2022 the average package was around 14lpa and highest was 56lpa but after that it has decreased significantly. Percentage of students have also declined . In ECE around 80% students get placed with an average package of 11lpa . Companies like Nvidia do visit the campus.

B.I.T My Home town

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is good. Approx. every student is placed. The average placement is 6 lakh. The students are eligible from the 7th semester for placement. The company visited are Tata steel, Vedanta, JSW, Tata Power, Tata Long Products, Deloitte, Sclumbereg, Amazon, Samsung, CISCO, Akash, Fiitjee, Byjus, etc. many big companies. In every company there are 5 to 6 students are placed. The placement package of Tata steel is 10 lakh, amazon is 44 lakh, etc. The percentage of students getting placements is 85 %. I want to go for teaching in Akash or Byjus, etc.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR what you learn and what you experience

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 3rd semester, many students got PPO offers and almost all big companies visited and there were 2-3 offers on everyone and there is 100% placement and the highest package was 35 LPA by Microsoft and the lowest was 3-4 LPA by mass recruiters like tcs and Infosys. Everyone used to work after getting placed.

From semester 6, we're eligible. There are around 250 companies visit every year and this is increasing every year. The offers made are more than 900, with a wide range of packages. 73LPA is the highest package. And 15 LPA is the average package. The percentage of placement is 97.2

An average stundet of cs

Placement Experience:

After the completion of 3 rd years, students are eligible for placement. About 10 companies came when I was there and they don't have soo many offers. The highest package of 10 lakh waa given to our best student in computer science the average package was 5-6 lakh that's the average package of most colleges here it is the same. The placements of students were quite average about 70 % cause most of the students get diverted. I planned to go in some other field apart from engineering.
