- I like the place where it is situated it is between the hills and the view from here is very beautiful.
- 10 dispose facility in the campus very very good you can find this separate ground for every sports and and coaches are very good

Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is quite good . It is very relevant like we have course on thermodynamics, rigid body mechanics which is useful in mechanical engineering and there are also robotics course for all branches so that every one can know the basics of robotics . There are coding courses for everyone so that everyone can know tech field Also there are extra curricular courses which are very relevant to our daily life like Language speaking courses like french , German , english . Also our college has started have semester exchange facility available to foreign colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I have opted in this mechanical course because of rank in jeeadvanced otherwise I would choose for aerospace engineering. The curriculum prepares us by labs, internship, projects under professors. The areas for improvement in curriculum are to improve the selection of course process in every semester. Sometimes we have to struggle to choose right courses.

- To get grades in courses that's very difficult
- Landslide happened at the time of rains season.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am interested in Mechanical engineering and I love hills, so I get admission in IIT MANDI HIMACHAL PRADESH. There are some core course, IC courses, HSS and free electives type courses . We must have to do at least 160 credit during 4year b.tech program

- Educational, campus facilities, hostel facilities
- Library facilities and sports facilities
Dislikes
- Selfishness of BTech guys and restless during exams.
- In hostel we can't use personal kettles, induction, room heaters.
Placement Experience:
After 6th semester student can get eligible for campus placements. 150 companies used to visit per year in campus. Highest package - 80lpa(cse) Average package - 15lpa (all branches) 90% gets placement including eligibility criteria. My plans after getting degree - will go for higher studies or go for good placement.

- The campus of IIT Mandi is located in the scenic himalayan region, providing a very calm and soothing environment and also the campus is known for its excellent academic programs
- The campus provides you a separate work space called as catalyst if you want to work on your startup or collab with different brands/companies

- The students of IIT Mandi find the remote location of the campus a drawback in terms of accessibilty, amenities and facilities available around the campus
- Being a relatively new IIT and considering its remote location, the infrastructure at IIT-mandi is lacking behind compared to other same generation or older IITs
Placement Experience:
The placements are provided by college on campus, students in btech 4th year and mtech 2nd year are eligible for campus placements. In the current year placements are not so good due to recession Some of the top MNCs like google, amazon, microsoft, adobe and many more visit the campus for placements every year, I dont have access to exact placement records, but the placement percentage last year was around 95-100%, but this year its very less around 50-60% currently. This years highest package is 1.25 crore this year and the average is yet to be disclosed, last year the average was around 25 LPA and almost all of the students got placed. If I get a good offer for placements then I will go for it, if not then I will pursue further studies in masters.

Placement Experience:
Campus placements are good for you if you are in CS, DSE, or EE and want to work in the IT field. For other branches, if you want to opt for core jobs, there are very limited opportunities. Overall avg package of the college is around 20LPA.
Remarks:
Location, beauty, the calm and soothing environment and also the from the academic point of view it is a part of India's best engineering colleges with good nirf ranking and also the score of my jee exam was a factor I had to opt for this.

What is your review of Faculty Of IIT Mandi?
I have gone through the faculty profile given on the official website of IIT Mandi. It looks similar to that of all newly established IITs, except for IIT Gn and IIT H, which are better than the others.
One of my friends is also a student of the Mechanical branch at IIT Mandi. Most of the faculty members in the Mechanical branch are married couples. One of them got a job here and after that, they recommended their spouses.
In terms of research, the branch is not that good. Most of the faculties just mug up a research paper and publish a new one. One of the faculties became associate by doing the same. If you want to pursue higher studies in Mechanical, then don’t choose IIT Mandi.
