In hostel we can't use personal kettles, induction, room heaters.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have applied in mechanical engineering because of my interest and also the good placement in this branch. Areas of improvement - get connected to good professors and do good projects related to real-life problems and also try to maintain a good cgpa(more than 8). Frequency and timing of exams - there are two exams which get scheduled (midsem, endsem).

Class Size : 300Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There is good internship opportunities in the campus for in field of computer science/data science/electrical engineering).But other branches people may struggle in core branch placements. Overall everyone can get internship including oncampus and offcampus interns.

Placement Experience :

After 6th semester student can get eligible for campus placements. 150 companies used to visit per year in campus. Highest package - 80lpa(cse) Average package - 15lpa (all branches) 90% gets placement including eligibility criteria. My plans after getting degree - will go for higher studies or go for good placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fee for each semester - Case1 : gen,obc whose family income more than 5lpa (education fee- 100000rs+30000hostel&mess). Case2: Obc(family income less than 1lakh)/Sc/st/pwd/female(education fee - 4000rs,+30000rs hostel&mess fee). Complete BTech fee including all - Case1(12lakhs), case2(4-5lakhs). Can get scholarship from national scholarship portal after qualifying eligibility criteria. You will enjoy a lot in campus.

Campus Life :

Annual fest - exodia(cultural), runneeti(sports) Technical fest - xpecto Facilities in class - digital class with projector and visualization. All type of sports are available in campus. Clubs - music and drama club, sports club etc.

Hostel Facilities :

In room facilities ( one table, one single bed, one almira) Meal quality ( mess food is not so good but one can get satisfied after taking meal & menu Is decided per week). You don't have to do registration for hostel , this is compulsory for each BTech guy.

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

First, you have to qualify jeemain & jee advanced and after that apply in Jossa counselling through jeemain rank for nits/iiits/gftis and jee adv rank for iits. Eligibility - 12th (PCM). Application fees - jee main (1000rs for male gen/obc/ews category, for female(800rs), 500rs for sc/st/pwd), jee adv (2900rs for gen category, 1450rs for sc/st/pwd). Frequency of exam - for jeeadv(in 12th or only one drop year), for jeemain( in 12th or upto two drop year). Timing - jeemain( January , April) , jeeadv(June). Areas of improvement in admission - first get all details of colleges including all facilities for accommodation, fee structure, administration, placement for each branch etc then take a decision).

NIT Hamirpur Review

Placement Experience:

The college provides a quite decent placement. This year highest package was 2 Cr and previous year highest package was 1.73 Cr . More than 40 companies visited.Top recruiters were Samsung ,CRED, Syska,Croma,Oracle , Accenture etc. More than 80 percent students get placed and after my degree I am also thinking of getting placed .

The placement drive begins from the beginning of 7th semester for the four year bachelor's programs. The average package offered in my stream .i.e. Mechanical engineering is about 8-9 lakhs per year. Like from the the 7th semester we are eligible to sit in placement process. Companies like vegazva, khanna paper mill, shree cement etc. companies visited in campus. And the highest package as like i mentioned the company visited in campus giving us 4lpa for 2-3 years then it is increased as per the candidate performance.

A realistic experience at NIT Hamirpur

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is now going to boost In JNGEC from the last 4 years. Students are eligible from the last year of their graduation for the placement. Some of the students were already placed during their Vocational training time. Tech, textile, mechanical, civil constructions Ltd, and electronics company visit make students secure about their future with respect to placements. 6LPA is the average package offered by a company here.
