For admission to the MTech Programme, a candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology in an appropriate area (having Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Reaction Engineering, and Process Control, as subjects in the undergraduate program). with a minimum 6.0 CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) on 10-point scale (or 60% aggregate marks).

Course Here at IITG is well structured and is upto date. In regards of chemical engineering. Also a new branch is added that is CAPE. If one wants to go for research the IITG is best for that Well belive there is no such improvement required as the administration takes care of all the required real world and industry ready subject and practical required. Exams are mid sem and end semester mid semester exam is of 2 hours and end semester exam is of 3 hours paper is made by professors. Difficulty level of the exams is totally depends on professor it can be easy or tough marks distribution is also decided by the professor sometime by mutually student and professor.

As my branch was chemical engineering so I choosed to take chemical engineering specialization in material science. I worte GATE chemical engineering (CH). Well curriculum is up to date in every aspect every year elective courses are added as per industry trends. As of now I don't feel any changes required for the improvement. Everything is upto date as per industry requirement. Two main exams I.e mid semester and end semester. Mid semester is of 2 hours and end semester is of 3 hours
