Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates should have passed the 10+2 class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
- The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th class examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects

B.E. Eligibility
There are 2 types of criteria to be eligible for admissions to B.E. program at BITS Goa:
- BITSAT- Passed 10+2 from a recognized State or Central Board with a minimum of 75% in PCM.
- Direct Admission- State Board Toppers are offered direct admissions irrespective of their BITSAT scores, only if they have the highest aggregate in PCM/are Science stream toppers.

- There are no seats reserved for anyone that ensures that you are surrounded by people who have made it there only based on merit.
- The competition level even after entering the campus is rigorous and keeps you on your toes to study continuously and perform well in your exams
Dislikes
- The grading system is a bit stricter when compared to other colleges making it hard to score a good grade with the same amount of hard work you will put in somewhere else.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The exams are very tough and are very hard to crack. Though many questions come from the pyq papers but still many a times make us question whether we have studied at all or not. There are still people who are actually scoring good though in the exams so it's not as if it's impossible but requires consistent efforts to ace the exams.

- College life and senior junior interaction.
- The various fests and the night life is enchanting.
Dislikes
- The hectic schedule of classes is disturbing at times.
- Sometimes there are clashes of seminars with the class timings.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum for the first year is pretty hectic and classes generally stretch till 8 in the evening. This is due to multiple reasons, primarily the clash of faculty timings or unavailability of labs. The faculty members are pretty well qualified and the teaching methods are very good. The long class hours are actually pretty fun. Also there is a 0 attendance policy so you can choose not to go to class and still not be punished for the same.

The course curriculum of BITS is amazing and is at par with the top colleges in INDIA. Faculties are helpful and amazing as well. Faculties have either done MS or PhD from top colleges in the US. Exams were conducted twice in a semester(midsems and final papers)

The course curriculum was up to date. I chose chemical engineering because of the interests that I had garnered during my 10+2. The faculty-to-student ratio is very good. The faculty members spare enough time to clear doubts and help in your career path. The teachers were very engaging and their teaching methodology was brilliant.

No doubt,It's awesome. All the curriculum design by their respective faculty member. They have good experience where students lags behind & design accordingly. Now to come academic part, which is also undoubtedly standard.
Fee Structure And Facilities:
The Fees is 2.2 Lakhs per Semester. You have to pay the fees online via a payment gateway or take a bank loan ( and hence they will pay the fees for you). The fees for the next 5 years will be told in the first year itself which ensures that a sudden fee hike doesnt happe.

It is expensive but considering the quality of education that Is provided it should not considered high. But it is also comparable to most of the private colleges around India. They also have nearly the same fee structure.

The Fee structure at BITS is quite Expensive. The tuition and hostel fees sum up to almost 4.5 lakhs/year which is huge. Since all families cannot afford it right away, SBI offers education loan to the students.
Course Curriculum Overview:
BITS Pilani has a very flexible course structure. Students have to complete a set of Disciplinary Courses (CDCs - Compulsory) and Electives. A single degree student has to complete a total of 13 electives- 3 Humanities, 5 Core and 5 Open (can be core or inter-disciplinary). This can vary with course as few courses have higher credit (or units) subjects in their CDCs. At the end a student at BITS has to complete the required number of credits (141 minimum) to graduate. A single degree student has an option of doing either an Internship (Practice School - PS) or Thesis in their final year (either semester). The courses cater to the interests of the student. They can do research based projects or learning oriented ones as per their interests. The atmosphere is very conducive for research with departments getting funding from major organisations. BITS Goa is equipped with state of the art labs with talented teachers to guide students wanting to do research. Taking about Chemical Engineering in particular, our department has some great labs which is the house various equipment which can be used for doing guided research. There are several electives offered at BITS and students have a choice to choose whatever they wish to do. How are the BITS GOA chemical placements?
BITS Goa placements are good for Chemical Engineering. During recent placement drive, students of Chemical received the highest CTC of around INR 25 LPA. While the lowest CTC offered was INR 10 LPA. The placement average for the branch is around 99%. Schlumberger, ExxonMobil, Reliance, Shell, etc. were some of the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive.
What should I prefer between chemical at BITS Goa and CS at new IIITS (like Nagpur, Guwahati)?
You can opt to enroll in BITS, Goa for Chemical Engineering only if you are positive to pursue your career in that field, or if you are simultaneously planning for any in-depth research activities in chemical engineering-related fields in the upcoming years.
- It is also to be remembered that the campus placements for students in the chemical department of BITS, Goa is not the best.
- Unfortunately, very few core companies visit the campus for placement offers.
- Now, there are students who also tend to get placed at several IT companies which are nonetheless not very simple or easy-going as well.
- While, on the other hand, some get placed in various consultancy companies which allegedly do not take your degree into any specific consideration.
However, the older IIITs are comparatively better in terms of providing the best of everything, than it is in the newer ones. But, if you are personally considering the branch, then CSE has always been ahead of the list in terms of placement opportunities as opposed to Chemical.
