Review of my College

Remarks :

The grading is a little harsh, so you have to study hard to obtain a good grade.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Course Curriculum is Same for all campuses however the evaluation scheme may depend on the instructor in charge. Relative Grading system is followed. After 2nd year and during 4th year, a compulsory Practice school is arranged which is nothing but an Internship in a top company, but it has grades which will contribute to your GPA

Placement Experience :

The placement of the college is best in class and has an average package of 13 lakh CTC. Most companies are IT companies. CSE - 23LPA CTC EEE-16.5 LPA CTC ENI -12 LPA CTC. Mechanical - 8 LPA

College Events :

Waves - Cultural fest Quark - Technical Fest Spree - Sports Fest ( Largest inter colletral sports fest in india) Waves is one of the biggest Cultural fests in India happening over 3 days during oct-nov Many big bollywood stars such as Amit Trivedi , Farhan Akhtar, Vishal Shekhar etc have attended and performed in the event

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The Fees is 2.2 Lakhs per Semester. You have to pay the fees online via a payment gateway or take a bank loan ( and hence they will pay the fees for you). The fees for the next 5 years will be told in the first year itself which ensures that a sudden fee hike doesnt happe.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Education loan can be taken from SBI which has its branch in the campus itself. Anyone who is admitted to the institute can avail the loan facility

Campus Life :

The Campus life is great. The hostels doesn't have an in- time hence people are free to roam in the campus at any time they want. Gender ratio varies from year to year but it's approximately 1:8. There is no ragging in the college and the punishment is quite strict regarding to ragging

Alumni/Alumna :

BITSAA international is the official alumni association of the college. They are quite helpfuland are in almost every field.

Admission :

Physics department of BITS Pilani Goa is the best. Also we can do a dual degree, which would provide us with a B.E and an MSc degree after 5 years.People need to give BITSAT, on the basis of marks obtained in BITSAT admissions are made. Admissions are made by merit.

Faculty :

A course is taken by on an average of 1 or 2 faculties per semester. All the faculties are Phd holders in their respective fields. Some lectures might have an experience in industry. All of the lecturers are well qualified for teaching the subject.

Placement Experience:

Final students are eligible for placements. Companies such as turtle mint, findem, Nokia, IFB, Samsung, Adani power, HDFC Bank, Tesco, Upskill, ONGC, Jio, and many more. Last year almost everyone got placed. Average package is 10 LPA. This year though placements were not as expected because of economic depression. Even after the placements, lay offs have become common. Hence to cope up with the competition we need to keep upskilling.

Placement Experience:

The placements have been quite decent and have had 100% placements in the past. The average comes to be a bit average but the highest package so far might be above 44LPA. The main branchea company hire students from are CSE ECE and EEE. The number of students getting placed from CSE and ECE are very good and have good salary packages around 10LPA

Placement Experience:

IIT Goa offers campus placements to its students. Students become eligible for campus placements in their final year of study, i.e., in the 7th or 8th semester. Several reputed companies visit IIT Goa for campus placements, including Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, IBM, Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro, Adani Power, etc. Higher placements offer is of 1.2cr and average placement offers are16-25 lac per annum. The percentage of students getting placed during campus placements at IIT Goa is quite high, with around 90% of students getting placed every year. The remaining students generally opt for higher studies or pursue entrepreneurship. In case no campus placement is offered, students can explore other options for employability, such as applying for jobs through job portals, professional networking sites, or by directly contacting companies. They can also consider pursuing higher education or research in their field of interest or starting their own business.
