Frequently Asked Questions

CUET 2024 Photo-size Guidelines FAQs

Ques. What are the acceptable dimensions for the passport-size photograph required for CUET 2024 registration?

Ans. For CUET 2024 registration, the acceptable size range for the passport-size photograph is specified to be between 10 KB to 200 KB. This ensures that the photograph maintains good quality while meeting the specified size requirements for uploading during the registration process

Ques. Can I submit a colored photograph, or is it necessary for it to be in black and white?

Ans. Yes, you can submit a colored photograph for CUET 2024 enrollment; it doesn't have to be black and white. You can choose any colored photo that you think best captures your look, as the criteria don't indicate which color scheme is preferred. A colorful photo can be submitted as long as it satisfies the other conditions, which include clarity, composition, and backdrop.

Ques. Is there a specific file format required for uploading the photograph and signature?

Ans. For CUET 2024 registration, a certain file format is necessary for uploading both the photograph and the signature. JPG/JPEG is the designated file type for the signature and the photo. To comply with submission criteria, make sure your photo and signature are saved in one of these formats before uploading them during the registration process. If you use any other file type, your application can be rejected.

Ques. Are there any specific background color requirements for the photograph?

Ans. Photo background color criteria for CUET 2024 registration are precise. It is best to take a picture with a white background. To keep uniformity and adhere to the specified requirements, the background must be a consistent shade of white devoid of any patterns or shadows. Your photo could be rejected throughout the application process if you don't follow this requirement.

Ques. Can I wear accessories like glasses or jewelry in the photograph?

Ans. For CUET 2024 registration, you may wear accessories such as spectacles or jewelry in your photos. Accessories that obstruct your face or create reflections should be avoided, though, as they may degrade the quality of the shot. To follow the instructions, make sure your face is exposed and unhindered by any accessories. It's also advised to wear a few accessories so that people can focus on your face for accurate identification.

Ques. How recent does the photograph need to be?

Ans. For CUET 2024 registration, the photo must be taken recently—typically, no more than six months after the registration date. This guarantees that the photo appropriately captures your appearance as it is at the time of application. It is imperative to utilize a recent photo because using one that is too old could cause inconsistencies when the verification process is carried out.

Ques. Can I digitally edit or enhance the photograph before uploading it?

Ans. For CUET 2024 registration, it is best to refrain from digitally improving or editing the photo. Any changes made to the photo could undermine its veracity and validity, which could result in the application being denied. To guarantee fair and accurate identification, the photo should accurately capture your appearance as it is in the wild. It is, therefore, preferable to submit the photo unaltered via digital means, in its original format.

Ques. What size range is acceptable for the scanned photograph and signature?

Ans. A scanned photo's size must fall between 10 and 200 kb to be eligible for CUET 2024 registration. In the same way, the size of the scanned signature should be between 4 and 30 kb. You must make sure the signature and photo fit these exact dimensions when uploading. If you don't follow these size ranges, your application may be rejected.

Ques. Are there any specific guidelines for the clarity and composition of the photograph?

Ans. Specific standards for photograph clarity and composition apply to CUET 2024 registration. The candidate's face should be prominently displayed in the shot, with 80% of their face showing (unmasked) against a white backdrop. To enable accurate identification, it is crucial to make sure the photo is clear and undistorted. According to these recommendations, you can make sure that the photo satisfies the requirements for composition and clarity, which will improve the application's overall quality.

Ques.Is there any particular procedure for uploading category certificates like SC/ST/OBC/EWS or PwBD certificates?

Ans. Before submitting your application for CUET UG 2024, make sure to check the signature and photo as any mistakes or inconsistencies in these files could result in your application being denied. It is easier to properly identify and authenticate a candidate if the photo is clear, the face is recognizable, and the signature is readable. Examining these documents prior to submission enables candidates to address any ambiguity or inconsistency, lowering the possibility of rejection without the chance to make corrections. In the end, paying close attention to details when examining these documents guarantees that the application process runs smoothly and prevents needless issues or delays.
