The NTA has started the CUET UG 2025 Application Process and candidates can register on the official website. A correction window will open from March 26 to 28, 2025, allowing applicants to correct certain details in their submitted forms.

The fee structure for application is different for each category:

  • General candidates need to pay ₹1000 for a maximum of three subjects, with an additional ₹400 for each additional subject.
  • OBC candidates ₹900 with ₹375 for each additional subject.
  • SC/ST candidates ₹800 with ₹350 for each additional subject.
  • International candidates ₹4500 with ₹1800 for each additional subject.

The NTA has released the revised CUET UG Exam Pattern: the number of subjects has been lowered from 63 to 37, and candidates are now allowed to choose a maximum of 5 subjects with a uniform time of 60 minutes per subject.

Admit cards are to be released in April/May 2025, before the examination dates between May 8 and June 1, 2025.

In 2024, nearly 1,347,820 candidates appeared for the test, out of which 1,113,610 took the exam. The upward trend reveals the acceptance of the exam as well as the competitiveness of the undergraduate admissions process.

CUET UG 2025 Application Required Documents

To be able to complete the CUET UG 2025 application successfully, applicants need to prepare and upload certain documents in formats and sizes prescribed. They are a recent passport size photo (10 kb to 200 kb), signature (4 kb to 30 kb), Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, and, where relevant, category or PwBD certificates (50 kb to 300 kb).

Having these documents in the stipulated requirement is essential to enable smooth application.

Additional Documents for Special Categories

For candidates seeking admission to CUET UG 2025 on special categories, including SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwBD, it's important to supply supporting documents to establish their eligibility for corresponding reservations.

The documents should be submitted in PDF format, with file sizes between 50 kb and 300 kb.

The application fees have been updated so that the fees would depend on the number of subjects chosen, making the fee system fair and transparent. The move is to ensure the application process becomes more equitable to all applicants.

The application fee can be paid online using a Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Using your Aadhar or ABC ID, or one of the other ways offered by NTA to fill out the CUET form:

  1. Create a unique login ID and password on the official website in order to register for CUET 2024.
  2. Complete the CUET application form 2024, choose 4 desirable exam centres,
  3. Choose as many subjects as possible
  4. Upload documents in the proper size and format.
  5. Pay the CUET registration fees.

The passing scores on the CUET differ between universities. Although the CUET passing score is not set in stone, a minimum score of 300–400 is needed to be eligible for the admissions process.

No, it is not compulsory to appear for CUET for B. Ed. course. You can appear for other state and national level examinations as admission criteria are you have to appear for entrance test for admission.
