CUET 2023 Exam Analysis

The CUET 2023 was concluded between May 21 - 31, 2023. The CUET 2023 exam consisted of three sections: general studies, subject-area knowledge, and language test. This section has all the detailed questions and exam Analysis along with segment-wise breakage in terms of weightage and difficulty. Below is a breakdown of each segment. The below segmentation will help students organise their strategies for the impending preparations and will also provide a brief overview of CUET 2023.

Section 1 CUET Exam Analysis

Students have rated CUET 2023 Section 1, or the Language section, as easy. The majority of the students chose English as their language paper. There were direct questions on reading comprehension in the exam. A portion of the queries relied on vocabulary. The questions were divided into four categories: reading comprehension, vocabulary and synonym-antonyms, idioms and phrases, and fundamental grammar-based questions. Grammar questions covered topics such as tenses, types of speech, and active-passive. In this segment, there were not many difficulties for the students. They claimed that answering the questions from the English portion of the CUET 2023 would just require rudimentary preparation and the use of common sense.

Section 2 CUET Exam Analysis

The CUET 2023 subject-wise analysis indicated a moderate to tough difficulty level. The chapters and subject-specific themes are listed below, along with their respective weights.

Physics

The CUET 2023 Physics paper was labelled as moderately difficult by the students. Modern Physics had the highest number of questions in terms of weightage. The table below shows the chapter-wise weightage for your reference.

Section 3 CUET Exam Analysis

The General Knowledge section is the third section of the CUET. The degree of difficulty has been classified as moderate. Both static general knowledge and current affairs were included in the questions. The topics included politics, business, literature, accolades, and awards. In addition, there are Quants and Analytical Reasoning questions. Additionally, the Reasoning sections dealt with fundamental concepts like blood relations, and tables. The General Knowledge section covered topics like the Olympics in Tokyo, and Nobel Prize in Literature. A portion of the Static GK's questions focused on geography and politics, while others centered on history.

There were four or five questions in the Numerical and Reasoning sections that ranged in difficulty from moderate to challenging. The math problems required a fair amount of effort and skill. CUET 2022 Exam Analysis

Candidates who took the CUET 2022 exam reported that the questions were on par with expectations and that the exam was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. The exam's degree of difficulty also changed based on the domain subjects. The questions for the Humanities subject were long and time-consuming, according to students who took the exam. However, several applicants who had taken the mathematics test noted that it was challenging to manage their time because there were 40 problems to answer in 45 minutes. Almost every question took more than a minute to solve making it a very time-consuming and lengthy paper.

Section 1 CUET Exam Analysis

The Language section was a mandatory section that every applicant had to choose. Students who sat for the CUET 2022 exam said that the language section was basic and uncomplicated. The reading comprehension, matching the questions, jumbled sentences, and spelling error identification had simple questions.

Section 2 CUET Exam Analysis

As previously mentioned, each subject in the domain-wise section had a different degree of difficulty. One could classify the overall difficulty as moderate. A few of the questions took a long time to answer and required mental clarity and knowledge. The questions were fact-based, case study-based, and multiple-choice.

During the exam, a number of candidates reported experiencing technical difficulties or server issues. Some candidates reported that the exam began late, and others said that their mouse or system stopped working in the middle of the test. Examining this resulted in a delay. Nonetheless, test-takers were given the full exam period because, upon system restoration, the exam's scheduling and duration matched that of its suspension.

Section 3 CUET Exam Analysis

The difficulty level of this section ranged from easy to moderate. Although most applicants thought the questions were simple and achievable, a few thought this section was a little challenging. Students who have not read newspapers regularly or who have not prepared sufficiently for the GK and Current Affairs questions might have found them difficult. Unless specifically stated otherwise in the papers selected, it was not required to attempt the remaining questions on reasoning and numerical ability.
